Shout out to Engine Social Sowerby Bridge for a great meal this eve. Def worth a visit and a fantastic asset to the local area. Food and service both spot on, especially (sweet tooth all the way!) the ricotta fritters with clotted cream. I actually need to unfasten my jeans I am so bloody full 🐷😍
Give it a try if you’ve not made it there yet. You won’t be disappointed I’m sure 👌

🔴🔴HELP BUILD THE POPPY NET🔴🔴
As of TOMORROW, the church are asking anyone with spare time on a Weds afternoon to spend an hour or two attaching the poppies made so far to a large net that will be cascading down the side of the church building come Armistice Day.
There are plans afoot to get some evening volunteer windows set up for those who want to help but who aren’t available during the day. We will keep you posted 😘

We get so many yummy mummies in the shop I just had to share this with you 😍 (and daddies, we love seeing you with your babies too!!!)
Just a little further down from us is Emma Kay Interiors. Their new window is full on nursery beautiful-ness! The wigwam/canopy with the pretty string lights inside and the swans with crowns wallpaper are my fave bits, but the whole thing looks 👌😍❤️
Anyone with little ones, or maybe one on the way it’s well worth a look. Now I just need to convince Ste the swan wallpaper is acceptable for our bedroom 😂🤭

The barometer in our window has today been pushed to 4500 as the poppies start flying in!! Incredible effort so far but still a way to go to hit the hoped for 10,000.
Just look at the sea of colour running down the Imperial War Museum at Salford Keys at the moment. How absolutely spectacular is that. Let’s make our village a sea of red come Remembrance Day and pay honour to those most deserving. KNIT, SEW, PAINTED BOTTLES, PAINTED ROCKS. Please get creating you lovely lot 😘❤️😘❤️😘❤️😘

Firstly how beautiful does Olivia look 😍😘 Gorgeous girl and absolutely perfect for the screen. Clearly inherited good genes from her lovely mum Adele who I think you’ll agree is also looking fab today to celebrate her baby girls big birthday (sorry Sean you were too busy gabbing to get a pic!)
Secondly how good does our buffet l...ook 👀 We do put on a good spread if I do say so. Buffets fill me with dread as all I imagine is a table full of beige bland food 😂 (growing up in the 90s maybe!) Not here though! Loads of colour and fresh ingredients ONLY!
Thirdly what a great village we live in! Beautiful flowers and balloons from Graceful Lily for the birthday girl off her mum and dad. A bottle of fizz for her from The Last Post. Added to that a fab cake and cupcakes from Kenworthy Cakes that Adele had made to encompass Olivia’s TV credentials; if the cupcakes are good enough for a Tesco ad they’re good enough for us!!

The first ‘large’ breakfast out of the kitchen this morning. We now offer our version of a cooked breakfast (all grilled and no grease in sight!) in small or large sizes. Looks good enough to eat👌 👀🍴
Served daily 9-11am

Some days I feel like I’ve let people down and today has been one! I am sorry to pretty much everyone....
My staff because we were under staffed and therefore over-stretched- I’ll sort it. You work like absolute troopers and I am SO grateful.
Customers because we were massively stretched today and that means things start to slide as we struggle to keep up with demand. Sorry if you had to wait longer than usual to be seated/order/get food.
... People we turned away because we hate to do that but today was just super crazy and we only have a finite number of tables.
People who rang and whose call we missed/message we were slow replying to. If you send us a text/leave a voicemail/send a Facebook message I will get back to you when I can.
Tomorrow we have an extra pair of hands so we will be back above parr and my poor staff won’t be meeting themselves coming back 😘 (Well that’s if they decide to come back and haven’t already hit the gin and packed a case😂)

A face we def don’t want to ever see at Stanley’s 😂

What a lovely place this is! We had my granddaughterJade’s baby shower here on Sunday(15th July) and everyone was so impressed with Stanley’s Kitchen, you just feel ‘at home’ there. Afternoon tea, all home made was wonderful and Penny was so welcoming and nothing too much trouble. My first visit bit won’t be the last. Thank you.

What a delightfully fun place to take the children and we loved it too!!! Fabulous welcome, food, cake and service. We shall make it our "special treat" place to go!

Went for the first time with my 6 year old and it was just lovely, great food and great atmosphere. The selfie station and props were a hit with our little ones too.

We went at the weekend for a mini treat for the bride to be.

We had afternoon tea and it was amazing.

Great service, lovely food.

Not often you get a choice of food when ordering afternoon tea I usually find it is what it is.



The only annoying thing was this famous honeycomb cheesecake!

I had a list of orders to take home and it had all gone! �

Just means I’ll have to go again - nevermind �

We had a lovely afternoon thank you! Made a nice change. Afternoon tea & homemade quiche were beautiful! My little girl loved her children’s afternoon tea too, plus my scone & crisps! Lovely friendly staff. See you again soon! xx

We had a beautiful lunch today. Great for coeliacs (the scones are delicious!!!) and the service was brilliant. Thank you, we will be back.

We (6 of us) arrived without booking a table. The place was packed but the lovely ladies managed to get us a table.

The food was amazing and the service excellent. We’re looking forward to our next visit.

This tea room is a delight , the staff are warm and always welcoming , and the food is wonderful, vintage themed it’s really beautiful a place to keep going back to , and our firm favourite in the area �

This is a fantastic place, the food is delicious and you cannot leave without having a cake, they're too tempting and definitely worth the calories!



We recently had a private party here for my daughter, Penny and her staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the children and their parents had a great time.



I would highly recommend making a trip to Stanleys Kitchen!!

Ordered some food today to take out and it was absolutely delicious, they are very friendly and so helpful that I couldn’t ask for a better service!! �

I visited last Saturday with two daughters and grand daughters, What a lovely experience. Staff lovely and friendly, My grand daughters loved their own afternoon tea. Scones were deliicious. Very child friendly. Will certainly visit again and will recommend it to our friends. Thank you

I unfortunately had to cancel my birthday afternoon tea here due to illness, but Stanley’s kitchen very kindly packed it up as a takeaway for a family member to pick up and bring to me! It made my birthday, thank you so much for being flexible for customers Stanley’s kitchen! It was all absolutely delicious xx

Had lunch with my mother in law yesterday. Delicious toasties followed by carrot cake for Janice and cherry scones for myself. Great customer service, would recommend a visit 😊

Everything about Stanley’s kitchen is amazing penny is warm welcoming and can’t do enough for you if you haven’t paid a visit yet you know what to do it might be your first time but it won’t be your last xx
