Went last night with a party of 8, teenagers to 80+, everyone enjoyed the food and drinks and when the bill was paid asked were we ok with the service charge being added (professional touch) which we were as the service was excellent

Our first time there the food was lovely the staff were great didn't wait to long . Would recommend to family and friends x

Lovely meal, food served all together (we were 11!) piping hot and delicious, service could not be faulted and they decorated the table as well. Great meal lovely atmosphere and lovely staff too.

Had my daughters 16th meal here 21/04/2018, the staff were amazing & attentive, the food was really nice and very reasonable we had a great lunch there ! Would 100% recommend everyone to go here. Thanks to all the great upstairs staff yesterday :) definitely will come back on date night xx

Came in on Sunday night with my partner and my mum. The food wasn’t really what I would usually eat but I would return again simply based on customer service. We had a supervised named Katie and I have never been treated as lovely in a restaurant as I did on Sunday. She made me feel me feel comfortable in regards to the food I was eating, she reassured me in regards to the menu and she was consistent in making sure I was happy with everything. She is the 5 stars within my review. Amazing customer service!

My upgraded 'salt and pepper fries' were just standard fries with a tiny amount of some sort of tasteless 'dressing' on top and the barbeque beans which sounded great on the menu were just standard baked beans with a few kidney beans chucked in. Friends who had the sharing platters were pleased with what they got - huge portion sizes but they do carry out boxes so you can take home what you don't manage.



Service was pretty good, with pleasant staff although a bit slow bringing drinks orders.



However a major gripe is that we were seated at a large table right next to the stairwell and it was absolutely freezing - my wife had to wear her coat all evening while eating. It's ridiculous to have an open stairwell like that with no front door on the establishment - there was a constant, freezing draught. The glass balustrade around the stairwell should be extended up to the ceiling (or they should fit a door to the place).

This is my third time here. Each time Iv had rip eye steak. Every time Iv gone the quality has changed first time a nice thick steak last time a awful thin piece of meat, when I questioned staff they said they have changed suppliers sorry guys won't be coming again.

She seemed to spend most of her time flirting with one of the chefs and could be seen cuddling him in the kitchen . The other waitress / waiters had to pick up her slack !

If you have any food allergy then I wouldn't recommend eating at Stockyard. When we visited, I made sure to discuss the allergy with the server, going through the sparse allergens information and double checking when my meal arrived. Despite attempting to take every precaution, by the time we arrived home I was feeling quite ill.

I sent an email to the manager regarding this and haven't had any response over 25-hours later.

Overall service was poor which was a real shame as we were celebrating a birthday

It was reported straight away with as we were sitting close to the bar. I then went over to the hand wash basin with blood dripping from my thumb to attend to myself. My sister thankfully carries plasters

etc in her handbag as she’s a mother to a little boy, so she helped me.

It wasn’t till much later that I was approached by someone with an accident book only because I asked if it wasn’t procedure to complete it!!!

I then ordered a blue curaçao and orange for my sister to which the waitress said wasn’t sure what it is and would go ask the “cocktail” barman, which she refined to say they don’t stock it which was sitting as clear as day on the shelf at behind the bar!!!!!

Our food was so below average, oily, bland and overpriced that we never even bothered to order desert or cut my Sisters Birthday cake which we didn’t even bother taking out the box as the vibe died with the treatment I received in the beginning!!!! The only good thing about the evening was that we ended up at my Uncle and Aunts house for coffee and birthday cake.

I drive past often and am extremely surprised that it’s till open as I spent a month in America in February and the Stockyard is far far from American!!!! Still so disappointed a year down the line from an unpleasant experience

Works christmas do there tonight, it was an utter joke. Table by the top of the stairs, no door downstairs so open to the street and freezing, so cold i had to sit there with a winter coat before the starter arrived. The group asked to be moved to another table but no one could be bothered. No effective heating at all.

Starter arrived, 4 prawns with some cardboard and 'garnish', tasteless. After shivering for a good while the mains started to arrive, lamb was very low quality mostly fat and gristle, burnt on the outside, raw and cold inside - totally inedible. Pigs in blankets were served to share between two, the vegetarian next to me didnt get any as she had foolishly not sat next to another vegetarian and it was too much hassle for the serving team to be bothered. Roast potatoes arrived cold and rock hard, veg arrived after most people had finished or just given up trying to chew on the gristly lamb and pork. We finally had just about had enough and moved ourselves to join our colleagues on other tables by perching on the end where we could, away from the howling cold gale. Desert was a joke, they forgot to bring mine altogether, though looking at the others i didnt miss much.

Total and utter crap food, service and venue!

Absolute unwillingness to even try to fit us in even knowing the situation that we intended to sit, eat and leave as we had other arrangements. Ended up having my birthday meal out before heading to karting at McDonald's.



Ignorant and unwelcoming staff with absolute lack of willingness to accommodate.



Wouldn't go to either on principal.

3rd time I’ve been and I’ve always enjoyed it! There was a mistake made with the booking for my husbands birthday and they hadn’t actually booked us in when they said they had but they were quick to sort it out and offer us a complimentary pudding!

Ok had salad presentation poor not much of it but it was lovely. Burgers were good and hot dog. Booked Sunday and had to give order by Monday for a Thursdsy sitting. Odd nowhere else asks that but we were a party of 12. Was warm enough inside. Mixed reviews on other food cold and nit cooked.

Nice place to drink toilets were clean unlike other places I have been and cocktails also pound cheaper than other places

On the whole a reasonable experience.

For the most part the food was good and as advertised. I had the beef short rib for my main which was great. The sides however, were a disappointment. My upgraded 'salt and pepper fries' were just standard fries with a tiny amount of some sort of tasteless 'dressing' on top and the barbeque beans which sounded great on the menu were just standard baked beans with a few kidney beans chucked in. Friends who had the sharing platters were pleased with what they got - huge portion sizes but they do carry out boxes so you can take home what you don't manage.



Service was pretty good, with pleasant staff although a bit slow bringing drinks orders.



However a major gripe is that we were seated at a large table right next to the stairwell and it was absolutely freezing - my wife had to wear her coat all evening while eating. It's ridiculous to have an open stairwell like that with no front door on the establishment - there was a constant, freezing draught. The glass balustrade around the stairwell should be extended up to the ceiling (or they should fit a door to the place).

This is my third time here. Each time Iv had rip eye steak. Every time Iv gone the quality has changed first time a nice thick steak last time a awful thin piece of meat, when I questioned staff they said they have changed suppliers sorry guys won't be coming again.

Staff though were great.

The food was lovely , clean plates all round . The service on this occasion was poor , our waitress ( who I presume was a manager as she had no uniform on ) didn’t explain the changes to the portion of nachos and didn’t bring tbe drink over that she took the order for. She seemed to spend most of her time flirting with one of the chefs and could be seen cuddling him in the kitchen . The other waitress / waiters had to pick up her slack !

If you have any food allergy then I wouldn't recommend eating at Stockyard. When we visited, I made sure to discuss the allergy with the server, going through the sparse allergens information and double checking when my meal arrived. Despite attempting to take every precaution, by the time we arrived home I was feeling quite ill.

I sent an email to the manager regarding this and haven't had any response over 25-hours later.

Overall service was poor which was a real shame as we were celebrating a birthday

Went here on the 23rd June 2017, the first thing that happened was a bottle of their complimentary water broke clean in half as I opened it which resulted in me slicing my thumb open (thank his it wasn’t worse than it could have been).

It was reported straight away with as we were sitting close to the bar. I then went over to the hand wash basin with blood dripping from my thumb to attend to myself. My sister thankfully carries plasters

etc in her handbag as she’s a mother to a little boy, so she helped me.

It wasn’t till much later that I was approached by someone with an accident book only because I asked if it wasn’t procedure to complete it!!!

I then ordered a blue curaçao and orange for my sister to which the waitress said wasn’t sure what it is and would go ask the “cocktail” barman, which she refined to say they don’t stock it which was sitting as clear as day on the shelf at behind the bar!!!!!

Our food was so below average, oily, bland and overpriced that we never even bothered to order desert or cut my Sisters Birthday cake which we didn’t even bother taking out the box as the vibe died with the treatment I received in the beginning!!!! The only good thing about the evening was that we ended up at my Uncle and Aunts house for coffee and birthday cake.

I drive past often and am extremely surprised that it’s till open as I spent a month in America in February and the Stockyard is far far from American!!!! Still so disappointed a year down the line from an unpleasant experience

Truly awful!

Works christmas do there tonight, it was an utter joke. Table by the top of the stairs, no door downstairs so open to the street and freezing, so cold i had to sit there with a winter coat before the starter arrived. The group asked to be moved to another table but no one could be bothered. No effective heating at all.

Starter arrived, 4 prawns with some cardboard and 'garnish', tasteless. After shivering for a good while the mains started to arrive, lamb was very low quality mostly fat and gristle, burnt on the outside, raw and cold inside - totally inedible. Pigs in blankets were served to share between two, the vegetarian next to me didnt get any as she had foolishly not sat next to another vegetarian and it was too much hassle for the serving team to be bothered. Roast potatoes arrived cold and rock hard, veg arrived after most people had finished or just given up trying to chew on the gristly lamb and pork. We finally had just about had enough and moved ourselves to join our colleagues on other tables by perching on the end where we could, away from the howling cold gale. Desert was a joke, they forgot to bring mine altogether, though looking at the others i didnt miss much.

Total and utter crap food, service and venue!

Worst christmas party do i have ever been on. I have often wondered what it was like as i pass it everyday, now i know. Dire.

Not good at all food overcooked no flavour unless it had loads of sauce on it.

Didn't eat the main refused to take it off the bill.

Cocktails were probably the best bit.

Not very strong but ok.

Such a shame but I don't think we will be going back or recommending it to anyone.

Chefs really need training if they can't get a RARE steak cooked properly and cremate it.

And chicken that's black from dirty cooking equipment.

My 4th time eating here and every time I have something is wrong. This time my burger was well over cooked fries even more so. There was no check back, told the waiter about the issue when he came with the bill and his response was “I will tell the kitchen” so how does that help me! Wasn’t handled properly. Overall really bad experience!!!!!!

Made a booking mistakenly for the Hyde branch due to poor booking system being easy to get wrong.



Absolute unwillingness to even try to fit us in even knowing the situation that we intended to sit, eat and leave as we had other arrangements. Ended up having my birthday meal out before heading to karting at McDonald's.



Ignorant and unwelcoming staff with absolute lack of willingness to accommodate.



Wouldn't go to either on principal.
