An event for your diaries ๐Ÿ—“ It would be great to see you there - proceeds benefitting the Suffolk hedgehog hospital and others. Looks like a lovely fun family day out or even a good excuse for a picnic ๐Ÿงบ to watch the polo!

The โ€˜Orphansโ€™ are doing very well and are now just over a week old ๐Ÿ˜They are currently still being syringe fed every two hours ๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”

Now we are finally experiencing some lovely warm weather itโ€™s even more vital to leave a dish of water out for our spikey friends and also their wildlife friends. Even if you havenโ€™t seen a hedgehog in your garden you may have one that passes through! A shallow dish of water could be the difference between life and death for our gorgeous hedgehogs ๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿ’ง

Thankyou so much to Ron and Jenny Harrod for sending us these gorgeous photoโ€™s of our โ€˜orphansโ€™ who had a little adventure to Cheveley fete today so they could receive their vital around the clock feeds from Sue. Please keep those name suggestions coming in ๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”

Last night we had our first litter of orphans admitted to the hospital. They are weighing between just 12g and 20g each - super tiny!! We have two girls and two boys and would love to hear your name suggestions for these little ones. Sue will also be at Cheveley fete this afternoon between 2 and 5pm with the orphans in tow as they need feeding round the clock. They would love to see you so please come along and say hello ๐Ÿ™‚ We would be very grateful for any donations towards the care of our newly admitted orphans as it will be the start of many we are sure. They have to have Royal Canin Puppy milk formula and as you can imagine they soon get through it and it is rather expensive. We hope you all have a lovely Sunday and enjoy the lovely weather โ˜€๏ธ love from all the Hedgehogs, Sue and the team at Suffolk Hedgehog Hospital ๐Ÿฆ”

We are set for lovely hot sunny weekend and Iโ€™m sure lots of you will be making the most of it out in the garden ๐ŸŒบ After already having some very traumatic rescues come in with horrendous strimmer injuries in the last couple of weeks can we please, please, please check for our Hedgehog friends before we strim, mow or cut. Thankyou ๐Ÿฆ”

We may be slightly biased here at the Suffolk Hedgehog Hospital but hoglets must be THE cutest babies you can get ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฆ”๐Ÿฅฐ

What a week! Always something happening. Bad days, two PTS due to their injuries, good ones, Gary who was badly dehydrated, now picking up, another one that had to have his back leg amputated and today, checking up on our little favourite Stumpy who has had babies! Not sure how many yet as we don't disturb her, but at least three. Many hogs released and more to go over next couple of days. Checked on our other surprise mum, Curly, who had 4 babies and all are doing well, now three weeks old. Never a dull moment!!!! To add to that, a gift from Julieigh of a brand new microscope and of course the incubator which will be so useful for the babies as they arrive from The Hog Hospital Hotel at Pakefield which opens in June.

User

We send massive thanks to The Hog Hotel at Pakefield as following a recent appeal, we have received this week an incubator. They are launching their boutique hotel next month, so if you are looking for a break, think of them.

Cute little song on Hugh the Hedgehog.

The Hog Hotel have been particularly supportive to us and really pleased to see them sharing hedgehog awareness. Important for everyone to know the best to save these lovely creatures.
