Went to the Swan & Cemetery yesterday with the family for my belated birthday meal, I had the beef roast dinner and it was excellent, the beef melted in my mouth, and the roast potatoes etc were lovely, the staff were very polite and efficient, definitely recommend the Swan & Cemetery for a Sunday lunch,

Visted yesterday and to say a lasting impression was made doesnt quite sum it up i was very anxious nervous and unsure about this visit as my daughter has quite a list of allergies and is very hard to cater for which is why i always carry a snack pack incase they carnt but the serving staff and danny the chef really went above and beyond having a in depth conversation with us about everything with the food cooking process everything danny even went to the stage of cooking something for her that wasnt on the menu just so she could eat something with us that was completely safe for her and has even said that if we call in the future we can pre arrange a dish suitable for her.

The food was spectacular and im a fussy eater so its a win all round.

Thank you for giving us such a pleasent dinning experience which is a rare occurance for my family when there is allergies involved ���

Tonight was our first visit. We looked somewhere nearby for food and this place came up. Looked at the menu online, looked good so headed over. Lovely place, food was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend

So me and my work mates went yesterday evening . One of us is gluten free and I cannot eat foods with msg's in . We explained to the lady who took our order who was really friendly and helpful and went back to the chef and found what I could eat which was most things because they make all there gravys and sauces there ( unlike most expensive restaurants as I've started to realise ) all our food was beautiful and the place is so clean and friendly . We all said we definitely will be back especially myself and my friend who normally can't eat most things of the menu's of other places .

Popped in here for tea before college with a friend, we had the beef burger and chicken burger, both were fab and tasty and great service! Thanks!

Only had the bar menu this time but was just as good as the restaurant, excellent pleasant staff and a nice pint all went down well

Just wanted to say thankyou to all the staff for helping me make my partners 40th birthday meal last night go so smoothly. They took all the table decorations, balloons and cake etc off me and did a really nice job of presenting it. The food was great as usual, every order came right first time and all together which is important. The service was friendly and professional, really great job 🖒🖒🖒

I always love eating at The Swan and Cemetery and Saturday was no exception. Was served by a lovely waitress called Anna. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious as always, I’m in love with your chicken risotto!

I Was With Friends we all had 3 courses they were all enjoyable ,the main course was served, quite quickly and so were the weight on the deserts, the waiting on the staff were very professional the deco of the restaurant was Modern the surroundings were ambient ,we were able to order more drinks throughout our meal, which arrived quickly ,we would be very happy to go back and enjoy a meal again, even the bar food meals were good as well.

Had a small reception here on Friday following our wedding ceremony, this place is absolutely fantastic!!

Nothing was too much trouble for any of the members of staff, they took away any stresses that I had with planning our visit and made our guests feel very welcome and very well looked after.

The food was lovely as were the drinks.

Classy interior, outside area relaxing . Food excellent, nicely presented, tasty �, interesting menu lots on . Ice creams , served in ginger snap baskets , we had champagne n mandarin flavoured �x x

A really warm atmosphere, great service, amazing choice on the menu, a really great family celebration venue.

We hadn’t booked and it was a really busy Monday evening but we were welcomed in. All of us were very happy with what we’d ordered. The starters we tried were the paté and black pudding stack, both very flavoursome and beautifully presented. The mains were really good- fish, steak and ale pie, lamb shank.

The pie was beyond delicious and it looked like everyone else thought so too as nearly everyone in the restaurant had ordered one. The kids really enjoyed their meals. They both had an ice cream after. The grown ups didn’t have pudding but the choice was incredible. Next time.

Was the last day we were advised as they are closing to have a refurb. Diss appointed that the full menu was not available and would not have booked if I had been advised when I made the booking but then again the food we had was good but not what I had set my heart on to eat

Eaten here previously and had lovely food but today was pretty shocking. Meals didn’t arrive together, and the beef wellington was both under and over cooked. Soggy, undercooked pastry wrapped over a tough piece of beef. Really disappointed on this occasion but will try again at another time and hope to have a better experience.

Booked a table for 5pm today ( New Year’s Day ) we did expect it would be busy but we didn’t expect to have to wait for 45 minutes to get our table. If a manager or member of staff would have taken the time to come over, apologise & offer some nibbles / drink on the house while we wait then that definitely would have helped but we had to keep asking what was going on and how long we would have to wait, each time we got told 5 minutes and we will be with you. 45 minutes later we got our table.



When everybody is hungry sometimes just the simple little things can make a difference, I would recommend some staff training on how to deal with customers who have been waiting.





When we got our table the waitresses did apologise and the food was delicious, I was very surprised with how quickly our food arrived and the lamb shank was incredible !





I’m leaving a 3 star review because even though the food was delicious the wait and the way we were dealt with when we arrived would put me off going again. If this was my business I would want to know how my staff dealt with different situations.

what a dreadful lunch we had today. both ordered steak sandwiches, that were supposed to have coleslaw, no sign of that, were supposed to have balsamic onions, 3 slithers of it, dry steak which was plonked on a bun, not even presented nicely by being cut into strips, etc just a whole steak, and one plate with 3 times more chips than the other. It was so dry. i put ketchup on and it was still dry. i sent mine back, but my friend decided to keep hers and pick at it despite not enjoying it. I changed mine for a fish finger sandwich, OMG frozen supermarket fish fingers, unbelievable, I have never known any decent food establishment serve frozen shop bought fish fingers to adults, only to kids. So they then said we can make you a piece of fish in batter. It arrived and I had to pile my plate up with ketchup to give it some flavour....oh I had to keep putting more and more vinegar on the chips to give them some flavour too, and then they expected us to pay, despite us complaining about it all the way thru. terrible food, useless management.
