A reminder that there are no ensembles this week except Band Skills and SingJam. All lessons are going ahead as usual.

If any audience members have video of our amazing concert last night, please do share it with us - we'd love to see it and it would help us with the concert blues!

What a day we had yesterday! We hosted our very first TMS 12 Hour Play-a-Thon in aid of The Sylvia Swiffin Trust and kept the live music going from 7.30am until 7.30pm. A huge thanks to the staff and pupils from St. James', Hattersley, Bradley Green, and Rayner Stephens schools for joining us as well as our ensembles and teachers. If you'd like to sponsor everyone that took part, you can do so here: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fund…/ showROFundraiserPage…. And if you missed out on the action yesterday, check out our photos!

And we’re finished! Big Band bring our 12 Hour Play-a-Thon to a close. It’s been an incredible day of live music thanks to the schools, pupils, and ensembles who have taken part and to our teachers who have rearranged their day to be here and support our fundraising. We are raising money today for The Sylvia Swiffin Trust, who work to provide musical opportunities for young people across Tameside. They support us in many of our projects and particular our first European tour,... which is taking place in July. A tour is a fantastic experience for any musician - a chance to build friendships, develop skills, gain confidence, and experience other cultures. However, the costs of tours mean that some families are no longer able to afford these opportunities for their children. Therefore, supported by The Sylvia Swiffin Trust, we are raising funds to subsidise the cost and ensure that the tour is accessible to any of our young musicians who want to take part. We'd be so grateful for your support - even a small amount could make a big difference to a young musician. Click here to donate: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fund…/ showROFundraiserPage…
