Martial Arts School based in Newton-Le-Willows. Specialises in Karate but can also offers a circuit training class, Boxing lessons & Mixed Martial Arts.

Welcome to Tashiken Karate Club. The Club is run by Husband and Wife Chris & Donna Spurgeon. Chris, The Club Sensi has 30 + years experience in Karate & holds a very impressive 4th Dan Black belt. Retired from competition Chris's full focus is now on teaching, he holds 4 lessons a week & 1 very intense (not for the faint hearted! ) circuit training on a Saturday morning. Lessons are held on a Saturday morning and Wednesday evening, he holds separate lessons for children (age 5 + ) and adults.

Chris takes no profits from The Club, this is a non-profit organisation putting all money taken back into room hire and the general up keep. He does this because it's his passion in life, which transpires through his unique and very skilled way of teaching. Chris doesn't only have a passion for Karate, he has be known in the past to train local lads up for boxing matches, sometimes holding a boxing session in his local gym on a Sunday morning! he doesn't stop!
