I'd just like to thank Tesco for calling me, to ask if I'd made a mistake by taking the turkey crown off my order. I thought it was nice if them to ask & the man I spoke too was very nice & I really appreciated the caIl & I would recommend @tescogroceries

For their service all year & I wish you all a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year 2017

Hi I came in yesterday and was helped by Chris who works on the fruit and veg section. I didn't actually get what I wanted but he was still really helpful and walked me to the different sections of the store (all I came in for was spinach and a baby walker). As a mum on maternity leave you don't often get out much so to have a chat with someone so friendly and helpful was lovely. I think his name was Chris, I'm doubting myself now! Lovely fella tho :)

Great range of products available, I find what I am looking for 99% of the time. Never seem to wait long in queues, this is the only local supermarket I can say this of. I also find this store tend to have no trouble opening more tills when it is particularly busy.

I find the prices very reasonable, I can do a full shop in Tesco cheaper than anywhere else (maybe excluding Aldi, but I can't get everything I need in there).

Last but not least, the customer service in this store (and with the Home delivery service too) is excellent. Staff seem to go above and beyond and always provide service with a smile. One incident that particularly stays in my mind was Easter last year, I had both my kids with me (aged 1 and 5 at the time), I rarely bring both of them out shopping with me unless I can't avoid it as it tends to descend into utter chaos. Well, this particular occasion did not fail to meet those expectations, it was the day before Easter and very busy, my older son doesn't really cope very well in crowds and noisy places, but I figured as I only needed a couple of items, we should be alright if we dash in and out-we were not all right! My son had the biggest meltdown he's ever had, it was horrendous, I was on my own with him and my younger son in the pram, a member of staff saw my struggle and she came to help me. She was an absolute godsend. Didn't judge, just supported me and empathised. If it wasn't for her I think I would have broken down in tears. She said "don't worry, I've had kids, we have all been there" and she spoke to my younger son and gave him the attention he was looking for (he was getting agitated with the commotion) while I calmed down my older son and sorted him out. Honestly, she is an absolute angel in disguise, I will be forever thankful to her for that. I wish I could remember her name (though I am tempted to say Carol i may be wrong.)

This is a great entertaining place for families on a low budget who can't afford the extortionate prices of the local cinema. There is usually something going on throughout each day.

For the less mobile who like to rest in their cars or on their mobility scooters, there is the pastime of "which brand of beer/wine are the locals going to come out with?"

For the more adventurous, A venture into the venue provides various of engaging games.

One of the most popular games is "TV stock bingo" simply browse the TV section, pick a TV and with odds at 40/1 they may have it in stock.

If you prefer the odd flutter at the races, have a bet on "discount national". Shoppers line up at the starting point and it's then a sprint to find the most discounted cucumber or lettuce followed by a chase to the discounted French roll further down the store.

Tesco also offer you the chance to test your balancing skills with "trolley pivoting" . Simply, see if you can balance your used Reilly against one of many bollards before walking off and witnessing it then roll off into someone's car.

Only went in for travel money wouldn't shop there.

In Wigan Tesco Cafe at present, quite different experience here and would give 5stars in review.

Why cannot Start Helens Cafe be up to the same standard?

We have stopped using it and use the Costa in the Retail Park where the service and ambience is excellent.

I shop here at least once a month spending in the region of £300 a time yet I'm finding it more and more distasteful, the last couple of months I'm constantly battling with finding a 2 seater trolley to use for my twins .. You don't have enough. The outside of your store is filthy ..I have a photo of to demonstrate this from my visit today. You are also constantly running out of 10p bags and the 5p ones are very fragile . Your staff I also have found to be more and more disengaged when I feedback these things they don't seem to be any better on my following visit. Last month I asked if they had a product in the back and even though it was a night time visit with plenty of staff stood around talking I was told to go to customer services at the other end of the store ? Where is the customer service there Tesco? I'm no longer justifying paying this monthly shopping bill at Tesco .. I'll take my hard earned money else where who truly cares about what their externals look like, have plentiful 2 seater trollies, helps their customers find products and have shopping bags in stock .. Not a great branch of Tesco in afraid .. Comments fall on deaf ears .. They don't care

I have had to mention this as disgusted. Today I visited your cafe at 3pm with my granddaughter and daughter. A lady in the queue at side of me said I will have open the coke as I feel really dizzy and told the girl. I asked her if she was ok as she was shaking she sat with us as she was worried about passing out on her own. I asked if she wanted me get someone she said no as wanted see how she felt after her drink and Sandwich. Then two of your staff from the scanning department a young man said your shopping is still there it's been there a while are you going pay for it as fresh food is in there. The lady apologised and again told him she felt faint and unwell. He never asked are u OK do you want me get anyone . Just again mentioned about the food being out for so long. I am disgusted! That was a valued customer? I stayed with the lady for a hour until her husband came and I knew she would be ok. I dread to think if I felt ill in your store. Totally disgusted! Where is your customer first here. Sorry but I had to mention this thanks Karen

Shocking customer service. Went in to buy a TV. 2 guys stood on the desk, first guy, are you on the TVs, no, he is, pointing to second guy, who said, have you just said I'm on TVs? Well I'm not!! First guy, well who is, NOBODY!!!! Well thanks for your great customer service, we left and went and bought a TV from Argos!

Purchased a playstation £20 gift card from here on thursday night but stupidly didn't get a receipt, the card was damaged and the code was unreadable so i took it back the next day and they told me they couldn't find it on the receipt logs even though i told them which till it was on and pretty much the exact time, they told me the card was activated at the till though. Don't see how that helps me at all but surely its proof that it was purchased there!!! Poor customer service

Just been in no shopping baskets at door so went out for trolley only ones there full of rubbish, then when found a full size trolley for 6 items found salad and veg department empty alot of stock low,but all tills manned so no queue, think some of them staff on till needed positioning better in restocking, won't be going again plenty of competition to choose from

User

I won’t bother ordering online to collect in future seen as out of 8 items only 1 was ready for collection and we were advised everything else was out of stock, funny that they were ALL on the shelf when we went into the store straight after for something else!

User

I don’t recommend this store. However I do recommend that you check the use by/sell by dates especially on the fresh meat. I’ve just taken back a pack of meat that I purchased on Friday evening, not realising it only had 6 hours shelf life left... customer service clerk looked at me like I had a welly on my head... needless to say, no refund or even apology offered! Ordinarily I wouldn’t have bothered going back with it but I’m sick and tired of throwing away food from Tesco because of the dates... will take my business elsewhere!

User

Disappointed customer service couldn't do more.

My wife and I bought baby supplies including a changing mat a few weeks ago and due to a sad case of baby brain (!) left the mat by the till after paying for it. As soon as we realised what had happened we took the receipt in as proof of purchase but were told no such items had been found in lost&found and there was nothing they could do.

Surely this happens to other people. Security footage could have verified the abandoned mat. In general we enjoy our Tesco trips but disappointed you couldn't help more.

User
