Many thanks to one of our customers for bringing us this photo of former landlord Harry Fisher Price- landlord here from 1917-1928! We’ll be putting a copy of this up in the tap room with our other photos of ex-landlords, if you have any of them, please drop us a copy in and we’ll put it up!

User

What a lovely village pub, friendly bar staff, great food, nice atmosphere- we’ll definitely be back.

User

Went to the Cavendish arms on Sunday very friendly and inviting staff dog friendly the food was excellent and you got plenty I will definitely go again.

We'd stopped in here before on our way to Barden so thought we'd try it again. Very friendly staff, great lunch menu and the portions are generous! This from an American (Texas) used to HUGE portions! I had the Brie & Bacon sandwich on focaccia bread which was lovely, warm and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it also came with crisps, coleslaw, cranberry relish and a little salad. All our party, 5 adults, enjoyed their selections, except my sister was a tad disappointed they'd run out of smoked salmon!

Cavendish Arms is a bit off the beaten path but really a fine place to stop and soak in the real pub life with the locals! We ate in the bar area but they have a dining room and beer garden with play equipment for the kiddos!

Next trip across the pond we will definitely give Skipton a miss for lunch and drive a little further to stop at The Cavendish Arms!

User

Lovely little spot, always call for a pint or a bite to eat when I'm passing. Would highly recommend.

User

Just popped in for lunch and cannot recommend this place enough. We were very warmly welcomed by Leigh and offered some local ales which looked great, I decided however to try the speciality lager St Mungo, lovely pint.

We had a prawn salad sandwich and a steak baguette both of which were beautiful and very filling. The service from the owners and staff was second to none and made us feel very welcome!

We will definitely be back! A true dales gem!

Thank you.
