The Cheetahs Wheelchair Services Cic

The Cheetahs provide a professional coaching service for the non disabled and disabled.

Our staff work alongside Local Authorities, Universities, Primary and Secondary Schools, Special Schools and Clubs, and have understanding of the OFSTED framework. Our coaches are qualified in their specialist sports in accordance with the UK Sport Governing Bodies and have disability specific experience and awareness.
We offer a variety of different packages that will support any organization and schools needs. One day taster session, (Paralympic experience) or a 6 week block booking in a variety of wheelchairs sports. Our adapted programme aim to provide individuals with practical experience and will equip delegates to:
Gain practical hands on experience, knowledge and confidence in wheelchair sports.
Understand the basic concepts of each game.
Gain understanding of the basic game tactics.
Introduce variation games for creativity and fun sessions.
Familiarization with all the games equipment and its users.
Make aware of the different types of disability, and societal attitudes towards disabled people. (Theory session)
How to include disabled people in sport by adapting and modifying sessions. (Theory session)
Overview of Paralympics Sports and other international disability sporting events. (Theory session)
