Supporter’s Warren Heyman and Anthony Davis are hosting their sixth annual football predictor competition for the 2018/19 football season! They’re inviting participants to enter for just £10 and to take part by Friday 31 August. You will be asked to enter your predictions about the upcoming football season over 13 questions and the top three predictions will win a cash prize. 75% of the money raised will go to The Christie and Warren and Anthony are hoping to hit their £10,000 target having already donated a wonderful £7,600! Our supporters take on a range of incredible events and challenges every day in order to fundraise for The Christie. One such supporter who has achieved the amazing is the inspirational Anna Blades.
Anna recently took part in this year’s Montane Lakeland 50 – a 50 mile ultra-tour of the Lake District. She decided to undertake the challenge in celebration of her 70th birthday and won the female over 70 category, completing the course in 19 hours and 58 minutes!
Anna has also r...aised over £1,650.00 towards the Gene & Immunotherapy Fund here at The Christie which supports the research of Professor R Hawkins and his team. Supporters like Anna help us to fund life-changing and potentially life-saving research here at The Christie, which is why your sponsorship is so important to us.

Nichola Cook, her sister Cheree, father David and their family, kindly came into The Christie Charity Centre last week to present The Christie with a wonderful donation of £1,704.83, in loving memory of their mother and wife, Doreen Hodson. They were proud to present the cheque to the staff and nurses who cared for Doreen and our sincere thanks and appreciation go out to all Doreen's family and friends for their kind donations and support.

Every pound raised from this year's event will help us to fund the rebuild of our Paterson Building, which is the central hub for vital cancer research in Manchester and was devastated by the fire in 2017.
By taking part in this 10km walk through Tatton Park, you will be helping us to improve treatment and care for people with cancer today, whilst funding treatment...s for tomorrow.
