We went with friends to the Colliers arms last night. This place is beautiful...staff are luvly and friendly, the food is absolutely gorgeous...the lamb Henry is to die for :)...cute quaint little place
We have been going to the Colliers Arms for years, the home cooked food is Excellent and the staff are very friendly.
Today was a beautiful but bitterly cold day couple of hours outdoors and the family had all developed a voracious appetite struggled for a while to think of places to go eventually found our way to the colliers oh my god did it tick every box going roaring log fire and fine food to fill the biggest of bellies. Can strongly recommend this place. brilliant.
This pub is one of the best in the area, fantastic food served quickly, huge portions and presented just as you want. If you want salad instead of spuds or chips just ask. Friendly staf make your dinning a pleasure. You may have to wait for a table at busy times but it is well worth it. We will be back again soon.
Quality food never been disappointed great staff great owners to I recommend this highly...
It says a lot that we had to wait for a table on a Wednesday night.
Well the real ale helped pass the ten minutes that took.
As always, the food was as good as the beer.
Had a beautiful meal tonight to celebrate my birthday. The staff always offer a warm welcome and the service was quick. Would highly recommend people to try the Tallahassee Chicken, with the nicest chips I’ve eaten for a while, carrots and green beans. Even got my husband to try green beans (he’s refused them for 31 years because they ‘squeak’ when he eats them) and he said they were very nice! Well done Colliers Arms
Food was amazing, freshly cooked and piping hot. Very friendly staff. Would certainly recommend!
Excellent service and home cooked food as always you can never fault it wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Excellent meal large portions I used to go many of years ago it was lovely then and lovely friendly staff I won’t leave it as long next time before I will be going back as Arnold said I will be back thank you for your good service and lovely meal and excellent staff
Excellent fresh food, friendly staff. I recommend the Cock and Bull from a great menu, absolutely delicious👌
Always amazing food & service. Even when @ it's busiest you get served within a reasonable amount of time & if you want fast food in 5 mins go to McDonald's. Don't know how they do it but they pull it off every time. Absolutely excellent
Absolutely amazing my husband and I shared a sandwich of cheese and onion which cane with lots of fresh salad and coleslaw and a side of chips which were delicious, we will definitely return, staff so welcoming
Absolutely adore this quaint little pub. Went tonight after recently becoming vegetarian, and we tried the Vegetarian lasagne, and can honestly say it was the best lasagne we've ever had, with or without meat. The portion sizes are immense, not sure how they make a profit with the amount of food you get compared to the prices, which are beyond reasonable. Staff are all polite, attentive and really a credit to the pub. Super cosy, and lovely atmosphere. Almost dont want to leave a review so we can keep it all to ourselves! 😊
Thanks for a lovely evening!
My wife and I visit the Colliers Arms around this time every year. We take the train to Upholland station then enjoy the walk to Billinge, calling in at the pub. It's a very nice place with an attractive beer garden, and we always stay for a sandwich or baguette: the chips and onion rings are as good as you'll find anywhere. If the Colliers Arms had a more imaginative cask beer range it would earn five stars, but even so, a visit is a must. See you next year.
First time today with
my granddaughter we loved the food & the service definitely be back
Would give 5 stars for the food but 1 star for the service, felt like we were an inconvenience last night despite them still doing food for the next hour or so. Could not wait for us to leave and turn their lights off in the front room. Very rude!
Wasted journey to the Colliers tonight. They don't take bookings and told me I'd have to wait to be seated. There's only two of us! Disappointed. Don't think they're too concerned about local customers.
