Myself, my niece who is 8years old and friend all came for early tapas on Monday. It was absolutely gorgeous!!!!! We was having cocktails and my niece was having mocktails. The food was stunning and such generous portions. Keith was serving us throughout our time and was fabulous, even with my niece. Keith is such a credit to the team at The Courtyard and the whole experience was enjoyable to the point we are already planning our next visit with a larger party. This is our new favourite place😍🍸🍴

Another great dinner 🥘, family meal. Lovely roast for myself and my wife, kids had great children’s meals. Never been let down as of yet.
Absolutely love the courtyard both the food and cocktails are amazing. The staff are friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Me and my friend were their last night for her birthday and they even gave her a free complementary birthday drink. I have been on many occasions and every time has been the same. Love love love it here!

Online they give time to and from times you have your table which was ok but if I had been in a crowd it wouldn’t of been enough time but it was for just two people

We’ve always gone to the courtyard as we love the food and the ambience of the place but the last few times we have been we have been very disappointed with the service. There doesn’t appear to be enough staff certainly not visible anyway and we’ve have been left waiting long periods of times to be able to order drinks and for them to come and to get the bill etc, very disappointing.
Went for meal with husband last night. We were shown to a table in a small part of restaurant by toilet. We were only ones in this section and felt cut off from main restaurant. A different waitress came to take drinks order, dinner order and pudding order. It would be much better if one waitress was allocated to certain tables for consistency. I asked for dessert menu and two different waitresses at two different times came to give us a menu, the second waitress bringing us one when we already gave order to first waitress! Communication between staff needs to be better. At no time when I made table booking was I told they would need table for other people. Seems a bit rushed like you had to eat and get out before other people wanted your table. On plus side food was lovely.
The noise level is painful to your ears some of the bar staff have a attitude and every glass hanging up was that dirty my husband had to ask the bar tender to re wash our glasses before pouring our drinks when we asked for just a small amount of ice the glass was half filled with the stuff is this to save on the amount of mixer they put in the drink not impressed at all �
The best thing about our lunch at the Courtyard was the excellent service we received from the lovely and very attentive waiter, who I think was called Keith. He made us feel like we were the only people in there (we weren't!) and had a great personality too! I didn't think that much of the food though, sorry.
I went with friend for lunch ordered from £10 menu , food came and must say tasted lovely until I found hair cooked in to potato, called waiter and quietly showed waiter, he apologised and took away I told him I did not want replacement as it had put me off, he came back and said he couldn’t take it off bill as I had ordered from £10 specials offered me coffee or dessert, I was drinking vodka so didn’t want coffee and I don’t eat dessert luckily my friend said he would take dessert. Not best first experience
Staff attempted to serve our food before the full party arrived, food was ok until a hair was found in one of the meals, only 2/3 desserts were available on a set menu. The entire evening felt rushed, it was our Christmas night out but the was nothing christmasy about it. The management compensated to a degree but we certainly won't be going here again.
My husband and I came here on 09.12.17. We booked for 5.30pm and at the time of booking we were never told that they needed the table back by a particular time (had they have said this we could have chose to eat elsewhere) we were rushed off the table by 7pm having not had coffees which we were wanting. We were told they had a table for us in the bar area and we could have coffees there but when they showed us to the bar area there were no tables and we were just left to stand in the centre. I have emailed to complain a week ago and had no response! If u want fast food with waiters/waitresses standing over you and rushing you along, if you want no customer care and if you want to spend the best part of £100 for an hour and a Half then this is the place for you!?!? We won't be returning although it must be said the food was lovely, couldn't fault that
Went here for Sunday lunch yesterday and was very disappointed. The place was empty but the service was really slow. The Sunday roast was mediocre - rubbery chicken that had clearly been microwaved (too long). The lamb was tough. We waited 40mins for our desert after the main course. I'll not be returning, this place needs a manager who can manage.
