It's hard not to get excited about climbing on the world stage with such great videos like this... (just make sure to his captions in English).
Japan will have the eyes of the world on it - and with such a rich heritage of climbing - we can't wait to see what they do with the event.

We love Dan, and we love his videos - so its great to see another one from his honeymoon travels.
This time we get a look at Flock Hill - the fabled venue from the South Island of New Zealand. There's a pretty barmy group of locals that have some fairly interesting videos if you're intersted in seeing more.

Who is this "Depot"?

Handle this crown with care, make sure you get some Brasso on it before you hand it back.

Like the South I will rise again, as long as there's funding available and I haven't been demolished for social housing.

He-Man was one of my children, I gave him that power.

User

What an amazing place!! I went with my children aged 13 and 8 absolutely loved it, and Maria the instructor was lovely, very patient and informative, we were made to feel very welcome and will definitely be back soon. Thanks again x

User

Took my daughter for bob 2017 competition today great building great facilities we will definitely be back Libby loved it loads of different types of climbs

User

So many different grades of wall, with anything from overhangs to traverses, a multitude of sections and friendly staff. Such a relaxed place to go and unwind and casually climb, even if the music is odd deep house/drum n bass/all sorts!

User

My son is a member of the Pudsey Depot and climbs there 4 times a week. He loves Pudsey so we decided to take a trip to Manchester yesterday. He absolutely adored this place. There is loads of space and loads of great climbing routes. He particularly liked the competition wall. We will definatly be back.

User

Massive selections of routes and higher walls than most centres I've been to. Highly recommend!

User

Love this place. Regularly updated routes great training area. Pizza is also very nice

User

Had a family taster with Jess today. She was a fab instructor and both our boys loved their first visit to the centre. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

User

Great routes, great music and great people.

User

First visit, great facilities, friendly staff and too many routes to climb!

User

Excellent route setting, many angles and a decent shop too.

User

Came here this evening to pass an evening whilst in Manchester. When I phoned for directions the lady I spoke to very helpfully told me which bus I needed and I found the depot very easily from the x50 bus stop. The place is brilliant and I could have easy spent several hours here, sadly my ankle only let me stay for an hour or so! The atmosphere was great and it was very spacious and I never had to wait to get onto the next problem. After my session I spent a good 10mins chatting to them and talked about bringing my kids next times. I'll be back. Thanks guys :)

User

Booked my daughter's 8th birthday here as she wanted a climbing party. Her and her friends had a fab time. The two guys who looked after them got them all involved and made sure they all had a go, even if they were a bit nervous. Only improvement I could suggest is re the party food, to add a bit more variety to what was offered but otherwise couldn't fault it.

User

Big gym with a lot of variation in problem difficulty and style. Entire comp wall is fun. The only thing itŌĆÖs missing in my eyes is the wooden set of problems (V3-V6?) which I know the Leeds Depot has.

User

As a newcomer to bouldering, I've found The Depot a great place to learn. Loads of choice with good range of difficulty. Staff are very knowledgeable and approachable too. Can't knock the pizza either!

User

3 of us came for an induction, our first step into the world of climbing and bouldering. We had such a warm welcome and the instruction was brilliant. Thanks so much to everyone for making it such a great afternoon. Highly recommended.

User

huge building, varied bouldering tracks. great staff. pretty good price.

Food and drink is a bit overly expensive but they have no problem with you bringing your own in as long as you wash your hands before you go climbing.

User

1st visit this evening...very impressive, just wish it was more convenient for me! One thing; the circuit walls. They'd be better/more effective if the circuits went up and down more rather than round in err circuits..too much traversing. More effective I think if when you divide length by height climbed up/down the result is less than 1.0!

User

Unfortunately in my experience the customer service here has not matched the great facilities! I bought a pair of women's trousers from the shop over a month ago, and since discovering they were damaged I have been trying to get them replaced/partially refunded. Despite numerous attempts by both myself and my boyfriend to resolve this we have still not been successful, and since we are now home for the holidays it will be even longer before I am able to use the product I bought/have my money refunded.
