The Duke Of Wellington Pub

remember way back in the day1968'ish...i did say way back lol ..when my good friend from primary school days n junior, HELEN WILKS ,mum n dad DON had the duke, what a gentleman he was pulled a last pint at my grandads request on his death bed out of hours when pub was actualy shut but cos my grandad said it was what he fancied minutes b4 he past away�my dad knocked on the pub door n asked Don if he could have a pint to take out to grandad on his death bed, DON didnt hesitate to pull him one..what a gent�so yeah the Duke was good even back the up to its name even when i had sleepovers there with DONS daughter Hells,so its continued to live up to its name the Duke with awesome reviews.�

We had a Mother’s Day meal here, Paula’s first time serving food an it was fantastic hope to have more events like this ! Xx

Was lost and the landlords looked after me, making sure I got home safe, thank you xxx

This pub is awesome amazing just like the 2 people who run it, there are now or soon to be 2 pubs that are worth going to the Duke and the heywood and both are run by the same people Paula and Steve!!!!! xx

Nice and frendly atmosphere and my kids live there

My first time but was with a friend who recommended it. Lovely bright pub great atmosphere and good karaoke. We were only going in for a couple then planned to move on. 3 n half hours later we were still there�

Lovely and friendly atmosphere great music and karaoke brill hosts always feel safe in the duke lovely peeps and great for a dance or two

Just want to say a big thank you to all at the pub what a lovely spread you put out for my dads send off was absolutely lovely I couldn't honestly thank use enough I would certainly recommend use and very grateful for tending to our needs at a sad time flowers and a card will be delivered for sure �

Great pub, great beer, great hosts, great karaoke, great crowd... Not a bad night out really!!! �

Did a gig here last night. Great place , Staff were brilliantly and customers were welcoming and amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better place to work. Will be going in here for a night out and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. �

Brilliant pub. I love doing the old Karaoke on a Friday night down there. A very welcoming and friendly pub and the bar staff are excellent I've never had any trouble there.

Back to how it used to be well done Paula & Ste for making the Duke an excellent pub once again long may it continue for many years to come xx
