We enjoyed a lovely afternoon here today. Fantastic location, friendly staff, delicious food, beautifully decorated inside and gardens too. Our cockapoo was made to feel very welcome, great place to stop off after a long walk. We can’t wait to come back, thank you Hazel Pear :)

This pub is a gem! Beautiful decor and food is fabulous! The steak was lovely. The landlord is extremely friendly. I hope this place goes from strength to strength as it so deserves to be a success.

Came for a family meal this evening for 6 of us. Fab menu with lots of choice. Mushroom and cheese dipping starter was great. All food came hot and arrived at same time. Excellent service from waiter Matt. Will definitely be returning

Brilliant food in a lovely setting! So nice to sit outside on a nice day/evening.

Another fabulous meal tonight, cooked to perfection once again. Lovely atmosphere, great tunes (lots of Motown - my fave)

When we arrived, we were told that there was going to be at least a 45 minute wait, as we know the quality of the food we were more than happy to wait. What a feast it was, my Al's Mixed Grill was cooked to perfection. Whilst we waited we played with all the puzzles games provided and had a nice game of cards with our Granddaughter - good quality time enjoyed by all. Massive thank you to Paul and his team for looking after us so well. You can't rush quality and well worth the wait. See you all soon and don't worry, when we bring the gang we will give you plenty of notice and a pre-order to help, we know the kitchen's only small but what a great job you all do. A lovely friendly local pub with lots going on! Ate here for the first time on Sunday and it was great. I'm veggie and there was a wide variety of options (I had the falafel burger) but I also know the Sunday Roasts are really popular! Paul and the team are all really friendly and always go out of their way to make sure you're okay and have a chat with you. There is live music (I may be biased) on Sunday afternoons, Open Mic and Steak Night on Tuesdays and Quiz Night on Wednesdays so there's always something to do for everyone. Really cosy boot room too where dogs are allowed. Overall a really great family pub!

What a pleasant funky surprise. Didn't have food, popped in for a drink yesterday and some nibbles,.nice staff, lovely feel to the place and good value for money. Weekend lunch required now! It's got a nice old/modern gastro pub feel about it. Much changed since last visit 20 years ago, will be back sooner!

The place was pretty, the food hot and the service perfect. Slightly limited menus but all done beautifully. A little overpriced on the dessert side. Would happily go back any time!

First visit back after Xmas meals disappointment. Lunch 28 Feb. Made very welcome by Paul - however we 4 were the only ones in (8 walkers came later). Pleased with menu and the food was excellent value for the 2 course deal. It was hot, well presented and tasty. Pleased that the standard and quality has returned. We will certainly be back and I hope other lunchtimers do too.

Great day watching the live music, but charging £18 for a small BBQ plate is disgusting!



No burgers or hot dogs either.
