We are collecting presents for children 0 to 18 who aren't able to have a good Xmas like us. Any gift would be very appreciated especially for teenage boys. Unwrapped so we know the age group to give to just drop it in the box and we will do the rest. 🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅🎅𠟎…🎅🎅

Moved in to the area recently and came to The Horseshoe for lunch and to have a break from unpacking. We were made to feel very welcome and given some great details on the local area.

It would appear I have found my new local

Cheers

Lovely meal with the family - steak and ale pie! Was delicious, well worth it. Great to see our village pub back to how it was in the day xxx

User

Lovely homely atmosphere, log fires burning and hearty food. I had the Lamb Henry and it tasted just like my Nana used to make, it was lovely. The kids had veggie specials and the other half had steak & ale pie, and enjoyed their choices. I had my pudding all lined up, the sticky toffee pudding had my name all over it (and the syrup sponge and the... ) but I was too full. Looks like I'm going to have to go back!

It’s been a while since we have been in as a family, but today was one to remember. New management are very accommodating as I wanted a Sunday dinner but don’t eat beef or pork so they provided me with a chicken breast. Great to see the atmosphere warm and inviting with so many faces that have been there a while. Great turnout for the charity day also. I’m sure Eileen & Andy will continue to grow and build the pub back to its old ways we all love and know.

User

I love the Horseshoe :) the Landlord and Landlady are the perfect hosts and they have a great set of staff on both the bar and in the kitchen. I am always recommending the venue to all my friends. I'm very grateful that I have been introduced to the place :)

User

Had a lovely meal with my family food was amazing. Children's menu looked really nice my little girl had chicken goujon chips and peas and my other daughter had sausage mash and beans really good portions. My other half said he could eat lamb Henry all over again it was that good. I had hunters chicken soo tasty. We had a lovely warm welcome so happy it's gone back to its normal self and I wish the landlords all the best x definitely be back soon

User

User

Had a family get together 8 of us they gave good service, from walking in to walking out. The menu has a wide variety of food, the meals was very good sized portions the kids portions are a good size for kids. I would recommend the Lamb Henry it was gorgeous and all very reasonably priced. Well done everybody you deserved our custom, and will visit again.

User

Great pub in the village. Lovely staff. Family atmosphere especially now Eileen and Andy have it. Its clean its dog friendly. My local luv it x

User

Great lunch today. Used to be a regular a few years ago until the two prize twits took over and killed it off. Glad to see it’s now back to its former glory. The lamb Henry is as good as ever as are the Fish & chips. Will definitely be back on a regular basis

User

Fantastic friendly pub, with great food! Moved to Stoneclough 4 years ago, and sadly the Horseshoe has been through a fair few owners in that time ! Finally it seems to have settled down and has owners who actually care about the pub ! Been in with my family and friends for food , and they all agree its fantastic ! Long may it continue.

User

Excellent service, excellent food, choice of craft beers, What more do you want!!! ;-) ;-)

User

We had a meal in this pub on Sunday evening. The service was good, the food was nice and hot and overall it was lovely. We hadn't been in for a few years as it seemed to be very hit and miss especially regarding the food and service (in fact on a couple of occasions the food had been disgusting) so its really nice to see a true village pub that consistently delivers a nice meal at affordable prices

User

Nice atmosphere just disappointing no buggys allowed but dogs are. Dogs take up as much space as a buggy. Turned up once meeting friends and my little girl was asleep in buggy and I had to wake her up and take her out to leave the buggy at the door. Think common sense should come into it. Obviously if the pub is packed then leave at the door otherwise they should be allowed.
