Went for a meal last night (valentines day). Everything was excellent, the food, the staff and the service. We ordered off the valentines menu which was 4 courses for £39 per couple. Very good value considering the amount of food we got and the quality of the food. All the food was cooked bang on and we didnt wait more than 5-10 min between any course. Bar staff were very nice and our table was served by a lovely girl, i think her name was Lydia. Great evening all round!

We decided to go here on Christmas Eve. Booked a table for four (luckily, as they were turning people away it was that busy!).



The food was excellent (I’d recommend the blue cheese and steak pie!) and the staff were clearly busy but polite and helpful.



A bonus was the wide range of gin’s on the menu, will definitely be returning!

We came in for brunch this morning and really enjoyed the full English breakfast. Thanks very much

We came here for lunch yesterday with our 96 year old nanna. The food she fancied to eat wasn't on the menu but the staff went out of their way to accomodate her.

The same lady served us from start to finish (so sorry I didn't get her name) and she was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble.

Will definitely be back. Thank you x

Popped in for a quick drink and the staff were all welcoming and very accommodating, will defo be returning!

Once again had a great lunch, food fabulous plus my company was quality. Ok so they changed the Merlot selection to Running Duck, wow what a Merlot. Seriously a beautiful wine and its vegan/vegetarian. The staff are lovely and helpful especially when we couldnt remember what food we had ordered, I blame it on the wine��� if your a wheelchair user ring in advance and reserve a table as it does get busy. Love the whole atmosphere. We opted for another bottle if Merlot rather than get desserts, hey it was a quality choice� well done Hunters, I highly recommend you, you are on my places to trust and that in itself is a great accomplishment. Keep up the hard work�

I visited the Hunters on Christmas Eve, with family, as I won a competition I had entered on their Facebook page. The whole family were really impressed by the food and the service was excellent! I’d highly recommend and I shall be definitely be visiting again in the New Year!

Had my twin's 18th birthday meal there, good atmosphere friendly helpful staff and tasty food, will come again thanks

Came for mothers day yesterday! Got a table last minute, very busy but wasn't a long wait for food, 5* food & 5* service.

Brilliant afternoon @ the Hunters! The Halloween activities where crackin for both ourselves and the kids. And the food was great! My baked fish was lovely and were quick to accommodate my diet........even with a busy packed Sunday service! Impressed!



I'll be honest, the Hunters may have suffered a small lull in the last few months, but as a local and a frequent resident.......its most certainly found its feet again and was second to none! If you've been before, give it another go!

1st visit... Gin was recommended by friend. Unfortunately didn't have the one on menu I wanted but lady suggested something else which wasn't on menu, and was perfect! Will have to return and try food also �

We came in on Saturday for my birthday the tables wernt set out as asked but they did let us move them to how we wanted them. We had pre ordered our meal as there were 17 of us however when the food finally came out the soup was only just warm I announced this to a member off staff who was helpful but as it took a while for the food to cone none of the party wanted to send it back and wait any longer. The mains were very nice and all arrived together however when it came to desert I was told they didn't have the one we pre ordered I opted for the chocolate brownie. This in my opinion was not a brownie but tasted like a cheap burnt cake mix. When I asked a member of staff of they would eat it they replied No!! We had a ok night but feel ordering food 3/4 days in advance 1 it should be out quicker than it was and 2 should receive what we ordered

Was told 30min wait for food ok agreed to this can understand if busy. Have now been waiting 45 mins and its not that busy can only assume that the kitchen is as understaffed as the bar.

We booked a table tonight, Boxing Day, for 13. The Hunters was quiet, they obviously didn’t have a lot of bookings so they closed the bar at 8???? But they didn’t tell us when we booked. That’s very poor customer service � hunters are quick to post their party nights but what about the nights where their customers still spend £300 and get chucked out at 8 !! Profit before customer service??

Quiz night 23 May - the cleanliness of the toilets was appalling. No visibility of management, rowdy party who had to be spoken to several times by the quiz master; not his job. Felt very sorry for the younger members of staff who must have felt vulnerable. You put your staff and customers at risk due to lack of management control. It’s not spot Wally at the hunters but spot the manager!

We booked over 3 weeks ago for 15 people for my gender reveal, when we got there the way they had set the tables some of my family had their backs to each other, we moved the tables and when I asked for an extra table we was told we couldn’t have one because it was fully booked when they’re was clearly empty ones when we left! Food was terrible and none of the meals came out at the same time and my bread roll was still frozen inside! Guy behind the bar was rude when I asked for an extra table and was all made to squash up! Will not be going back!

Visited in the past & always been nice. Tonight was awful. The place was empty. The food was shocking & when I spoke to staff about it, they could not have cared less! My husband's chicken had black spots on it, and was told it was burnt fat?! No salad garnish with my £15 steak as advertised, but told that's how it's supposed to be. Stuart, had an answer for every issue, and a bad attitude! We won't be returning!
