Went for afternoon tea and it was the new menu this week. A mix of savouries, sandwiches and sweet treats. There was more than enough for two and a great treat for a special ocassion. The staff were excellent and really looked after us. Can highly recommend.

We just celebrated my dad's 80th birthday here and we all enjoyed it. Food In the bar was lovely as was the breakfast. Would have been better with a bit of background music but we managed to make our own entertainment. As my dad is the best singer going Would visit again and will reccomend the hotel.

User

The Imperial hotel is one of the best hotels in Blackpool, so clean and the staff are wonderful, some of the staff have been there year so what does that tell you!!!! I am taking my 3 grandaughters there in May and they can't wait!!! There is a pool and a gym. The bar is wonderfully decorated and not to be missed. They also cater for different functions, i could go on and on about it but you have to go and see for yourself!!!!

User

Me and my friends had a marvellous experience at afternoon toes today! Thank you, the service and food was brilliant! In particular the chocolate brownies! The Stilton soup in a cup was a wonderful surprise too!

The highlight for us had to be the staff so welcoming and accommodating they couldn’t do enough for us! Even let us sit outside so we could enjoy the sunshine

We’re already planning our next ladies lunch! Thank you again

Just returned from a 1 night stay here 2 adults & our nearly 2year old and I cannot fault anything. We found a deal on groupon and I rang and asked if we could bring our son & Was told if he could sleep with us then yes. When we got to the room it had a kingsize and 2 single beds pushed together...and also a sea view!! Our little boy loved the pool and there's a tram stop right outside which is good for little legs! We can't wait to return to this hotel!!

User

Brilliant hotel located short walk from north pier. Hotel very clean and warm! Staff extremely friendly and happy. Room was nice and big and beautiful views of the sea! Breakfast was buffet style and couldn't fault it. Any problems you have are sorted and nothing much trouble. Left feedback and was nice to get a reply from the manager which was lovely. Also there is parking onsite with tram stop outside!

Booked a family room which should consist one double bed and one single bed..Got to our room to find one double bed and a camp bed this was in the Windsor suite..Room was lovely but I didn't pay 142 the night to sleep in a camp bed..So decided to go and speak to check staff he was called Tony he was very very nice and changed our room..All I can say is wow wow wow..We was put in the Royal suite for the night..This made our stay extra special and something we will always Remember..My son and I have a very rare genetic disease and I have been very very ill over the last 5 years..This was our 1st time away since 2005..Thank you for making our visit so extra special and a big big thank you to Tony xxx

A nice grand old hotel, loved seeing all the pictures of the famous people that have stayed here in the past the staff were exceptional across the board , reception staff in particular were terrific even found us a room that was ready early and gave us a side sea view room, allowing us to hit the pool earlier which was great, we didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as were here attending a concert but the menu looked good and for a hotel well priced, breakfast was one of the best I have had plenty of choice great staff very helpful and friendly shame it was only 1 night will be back but for longer next time. Thank you

Nice Hotel.

Good Staff.

Nice room (especially when you get an Upgrade with Sea View).

Breakfast a bit staid (Bacon good and plentiful, Sausages ok, Eggs Scrambled and Fried Good.... Black pudding, Hash Browns and Beans BLAND)otherwise filling.

A few little quibbles like asking for extras, eg. bottled water (asked for, never delivered), Tea bags bit lacking and milk, recommend taking extra from breakfast.

Would stay again.

Reasonable price.

Just make sure they don't try and charge you for a paper you didn't order.

Just coming back from a one night stay at the Imperial. The building is beautiful, especially the communal areas. Check-in was fast and professional. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities that you’d expect. Gym was well-equipped, spa / pool area was clean and relaxing. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Staff throughout the hotel were professional, friendly and unpretentious.

The two reasons why I haven’t given 5* is that :

1. the old sash window was rattling during the night (Room 230) and kept me awake unfortunately

2. The poolside area could be made more atmospheric with dimmer lighting and better loungers. What about some additional water features to add to the ambience?

However, we’d certainly stay at the Imperial if we visit Blackpool again. Thank you.

Checked out today after 2nts with my mum. A very enjoyable stay in a Dlx sea view. My mum loves the sea. The room was spacious but a little tired. The fridge had no flex to it so couldn't be used. There's a handle missing on the cupboard unit. The chairs are comfortable but rather worn. The public areas are spacious and airy. The food and service are excellent. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Disappointed about lift access out of action (temporarily) to the pool. My mum can't do stairs but loves to swim. I used the pool and the facilities are very good.

User

A nice, grand and friendly hotel. The communal areas are impressive and have obviously had some work in recent years and the welcome we got on arrival and at breakfast was really warm and friendly. The breakfast was very good and having stayed at many hotels in the last year I'd say it was the best I've experienced in that time. It's not without its problems as with many old buildings. The room was clean but had some damp issues and single glazed sash windows make for a cold and noisy night. The pool and male changing rooms were also pretty dirty and need some focus. Those areas are why this otherwise lovely hotel did not get a 5.

Daughter had booked a spa day with afternoon tea. Unfortunately nothing in the spa was working. Sauna hadn't been working since Easter and the Jacuzzi needed charging, 15-20mins. 1 1/2 hrs later still nothing so we brought everything else we planned to do forward. Massage was excellent and then up to the restaurant for afternoon tea, which we couldnt fault. The staff were all brilliant just a shame about the facilities. X

Stayed in here over a weekend, to say the room was £100 per night, I expected much more than what I got. The room was tiny and far to hot to the point it was nearly unbearable. The shower took 4 years to turn on you had to really fiddle with it.

The room was advertised as a 'sea view' - It was anything but. Even the hairdryer was something from the 1980s.

The bar prices were out of this world expensive, but I wouldn't expect less from a hotel bar. Staff were rude, I ordered food and the staff was kicking up a fuss over who would bring it to my table. After 45 mins I got what looked like a micro meal fish, cold peas and the chips looked like they hadn't even been cooked.

For the £400 I paid, it was a total waste of money. Its just a big hotel with shit rooms. Had better experience from £30 BnBs

User

Booked a double room for a 2 night stay - got into room mid afternoon to find it was 2 single beds pushed together and bird shit all over room - table, radiator, chair, floor - called reception to mention this and they sent up a young lad who wasn’t aware of the problem (felt sorry for him) eventually, we got moved and got a proper double bed and a clean room (we weren’t the only ones - spoke to a couple who got there same time who also complained of dirty room) - e mailed a complaint to the hotel with photos - still not had a response nearly 2 weeks later - they did however send us up a bottle of red wine to apologise- my Mrs googled it and Tesco sell it for £4.99 - not be going back for sure, but hey, they got their £200 + out of us so they won’t mind

User

Am still here in fact, arrived yesterday and on arrival were told lift to the 4th floor not working so they moved us to the 2nd floor. Room very average, window hadn’t been cleaned in forever and a shocking view and stench and noisy too. I rang today to say that there was a stain on my sheets and they said they would have them changed, still no one has been. Very disappointed. Leaving tomorrow so looking forward to that, a good note, breakfast was nice. Deanna and Heather Zappia room 246

User

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel, stayed last night then at 1:30 in the morning a bloke used a key card for a different room and let himself into our room! The bloke was very drunk and gone to the wrong room so not intentional but the fact he could actually open the door is ridiculous. The management this morning basically said it was us that hadn’t locked the door properly or even left it open slightly!!!! I lock the doors the minute I close them every time in a hotel so it was definitely a fault with the lock. If you do stay be very careful and hide valuables in case someone does it to you!

User

Would give it minus if possible, absolutely disgusting, booked a double room and was two beds put together and the mattresses was stained and the duvets was zipped together with the zip irritating all night, the floor was stained and bathroom was scruffy, TV was on audio commentary so didn't watch it. Views out of window was discusting pigeons all over the place and pigeon mess all on window and window ledge. Pictures on bedroom wall was horrible to see overall room was very very cheap for the price we paid been to better hotels for £30pn Bar prices are outrageous for the same drinks a whole lot cheaper else where in blackpool. We would not be coming back at all lost alot of money we saved for this hotel.
