The Joshua Bradley

Outdoor movie night is a fantastic idea & we had an amazing time. We are in the restaurant beforehand & had a lovely meal. The waitress was attentive & I couldn’t fault the food. The salt& pepper calamari was cooked perfectly and I loved the cod loin with mini fish pie & samphire. Thanks for a great evening �

On 26.01.18 We had our wedding here. We have been planning this for at least 18 months, in between there was a hand over in management but you wouldn't have known. It has been so easy liasing with the manager Warren and he and the staff have been so helpful. The day went smoothly and perfect. We could not have asked for more and our guests complimented the venue, food and atmosphere. Amazing place and great staff!!

My stars are for this beautiful venue, very impressive, unfortunately the food served let the place down, very dissappointed, the duck was tough, sweet potato croquettes were stale and dry , evidently frozen and refried! the leeks were old and stringy not nice at all on the plus side the fish eaten by another member of our party was good however the potato wedges were again hard and dry if i visited this pub

again i would perhaps just have a drink and enjoy the surroundings

Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Warren and the rest of the team at The Joshua Bradley for our amazing wedding in April. Everything was just beyond fantastic. The ease of booking / organising, the beautiful facilities / venue, the service from all staff and the gorgeous breakfast the day after made our day utterly perfect from start to finish. All our guests commented on the beautiful venue and how it was such a brilliant day. We cannot thank you enough x

Had a lovely meal there for my daughter's birthday ...our food was nice and hot also presented beautiful ...staff was so lovely nothing too much trouble gorgeous place we will definitely becoming back some time soon...Thank you.

Great food and drinks the atmosphere is great will be there much more. We always have a great night sometimes a couple turns in to a full night out lol

Fabulous lunch yesterday. Lovely sat in the sun with a good mixture of food to suit us all. We were able to pay separately yet it all arrived at the same time. X

Cannot tell you how fantastic Warren and his team were for my wedding this weekend (17/03/18) from the setting up to the meal to the venue dressing to when we had to call it early due to the weather they were professional and understanding throughout. Would thoroughly recommend them for any function.

Spent an enjoyable time having afternoon tea with friends. Will return to try the other delights on the menu.

Great venue excellent food. But when we got there not enough bar staff so queued for a while to get served but other than that good

Beautiful building and surrounding grounds. Had afternoon tea which was very nicely presented. Lovely staff, although they were understaffed so hard to get their attention. Nice for lunch/meal and even a wedding going on in a separate area.

We went last night for an 18th birthday meal, food pre-ordered for 13 of us for 6.30 sitting. Meal finally came out for 7.30, most of the meals had chips with them, which looked more like jacket potatos cut into quarters, they were also on the cold side. I think the meals were well over priced for what we got too, the portion sizes were more like what a toddler would eat!

We had get our drinks from the bar ( and there was a big queue there also) as minimal waitress service for our table, which led to several empty glasses not being collected leaving little room for anything else... it's fair to say i'm really disapointed with the price & portion size of food and probably wont eat there again

What difference does that make ? Only £20 and it was ok I would pay more and go somewhere else next time I think . The surrounding are lovely . No parking spaces hardly and someone blocked me in . Not enough staff .

Went for lunch today! Sat outside.. food came within 15 mins! Plates put on tables and I asked for sauces cutlery etc and was told to go and get my own from inside! Annnoying when your hot food is at the table! Menu over priced for what the food actually was! Salt & pepper chips are not nice! Drinks overpriced! Wouldn’t go back!

Had a meal with my Husband last Friday and was very disappointed with both the food and the service. Overpriced, not very nice and after we finished we waited 20 minutes, trying to get someone’s attention to get the bill that in the end we left the table and had to find someone to pay. We won’t be returning

Me and my family of 7 went for dinner yesterday at this pub , as looks go it was fantastic, the food on the other hand was dire! The staff were moody and very unhelpful! I sent my food back as my Chips were very hard and under cooked and my steak sandwich tasted like a 1min steak you put in the microwave for £8.95 it was very overpriced like all the food there . Great building could be so much better , but unfortunately awful food , moody staff and very expensive

I have been a Chef for over 25 years and hoped on a night off work on a Wednesday when most places are quiet I could go out for a nice meal with my good lady.

I ordered a Blue Rib Eye that was Cooked medium well and such a bad cut of meat that there was more fat than meat. I asked to exchange the meat for a Rump and was yet again served such bad quality meat that any chef couldn’t produce a nice meal from it.

When I spoke to the supervisor she was great and apologised and couldn’t of been better but I asked where

The meat was from and before she could give me a clue I guessed “Birtwistles”. They are known to

Supply the worst meat any Chef could handle. So pleas folks avoid the Joshua bradley in Gee Cross it’s shite !!!
