Visited for the first time today. Loved it. Me and the Mrs had the za'tar sweet potato soup, Turkish white beans & spinach with white rice and the kofta mezze. All delicious bursting with flavour. Quirky little place which sells lots of vegan produce. Great for when you're on a health kick for some tasty guilt free food.

Vegetarian cafe, centrally located and reasonably priced.

Visited here for dinner (lunch), got the food to takeaway. I ordered the mushroom bean burger, coffee and walnut cake, carrot cake and I also took a flapjack and a vego chocolate bar from the shop area, £12.10 total. All the food was good and I would eat here again. There’s plenty of seating if you want to sit in.

This cafe is centrally located, most things on the menu are vegan and are clearly marked, all of the cakes were vegan, including the 2 options I had plus fruit crumble, date and walnut brownie, white chocolate cheesecake, millionaire shortbread and chocolate almond fudge cake.

From the fridge they sell a range of vegan soft drinks plus meat alternatives such as tofu.

There is a shop section which sells a range of products including alternative milks, vegan chocolate, crisps and healthy snacks, baking products and nut butters, tea, environmentally friendly cleaning products and shampoo. At the counter there is also a range of sweet snacks including vegan chocolate bars and vegan flapjacks, fresh fruit and vegan soap!

They also have a book shelf area where they sell books as well as a section for flyers and leaflets which stock information about events.

There are vegetarian inspired quotes dotted about and they also have free WiFi.

The most amazing vegan food I've had in a while! Got the kofte mezze and it was delicious, and the lemon and coconut 'cheesecake'. Lovely service and super affordable. Really good value for money actually. Will be back very soon!

User

The kitchen is a great little place to visit in Bolton. A friendly, ethical business serving freshly cooked food.

Serving a selection of drinks, teas and coffee.

With pleanty of delicious vegiterian and vegan dishes. You wont be dissapointed.

User

My beetroot soup was lovely & the juice made freshly from the juicer I also came away with lots of goodies like a hazelnut chocolate bar, mayo, cocoa & crisp (all vegan of course) ☺️ glad I've found another local vegan cafe as it's hard for us vegans to eat out sometimes! See you again soon xx

User

Loved the food and varied menu. Karen's kitchen chocolate that is sold here is epic too.

User

Love this place!! Always get a cold dog and a slice of cheese cake when taking out or a vegan breakfast when i go in Wish they delivered when I'm feeling lazy !!

User

Just smashed a seitan kebab and it was the fucking tastiest thing! And im on a personal mission to have veggie kebabs around the world . Wonderful wee place - the plastic free and local/organic elements align with my compass so hard and ill be sure to come back again and again

User

Just had a great breakfast here..will definitely be returning next time i am in Bolton.

User

I sometimes choose to visit Bolton for my shopping, as opposed to Bury... where I live..!!! Just so that I can sneak into this little gem 'While I'm in the area!'. I have used the Kitchen for outside catering twice too! Very tasty and great service!

User

I love the kitchen project it's so nice there every one working there is the best and the food is 2 die for. I would give this place 10* if I could. I would recommend this place 2 every one. Thank every one at the kitchen project you are like family to me. Love u all X

User

I like this place, it's clean, the staff are friendly, the food is good, and it's a reasonable price. It also gives you a wide range of choice if you have special dietary requirements like dairy/gluten free, vegan, etc

User

I had the mushroom and aubergine risotto on the recommendation of the lovely lady serving me and it was absolutely fantastic. Service was excellent and the staff are lovely, highly recommend this place :)

User

Have long wanted to try The Kitchen but always in too much of a rush or too late when going home from work. Finally made the time and just eaten delicious cottage pie with braised savoy cabbage. Hot, delicious, wholesome food. Great price. If you are in Bolton give it a try.

User

Great, laid back cafe. Food is something special. Very much recommended.

User

Good restaurant for the family healthy food toys and guitar playing and variety in the menu( seven stars).

User

Amazing healthy and cruelty free food.

We usually go for one of the specials or something from the main menu, but today we opted for 'just a sandwich. They were divine!

My wife had a vegan BLT and I had a Popeye picnic! - spinach, avocado and garlic.

Both served on rustic seeded granary bread - delicious.

You can't go wrong.

Enjoy!

User

Amazing cafe. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Shame you aren’t in Bristol (where I’m from!) pleasure to meet you all

User
