What a fantastic experience, right From the moment we walked in and was greeted by James and his team.

From the home made bread, with the sea salt whipped butter, all the way through to the desserts, the food was off the scale.

The Gambas Prawns were cooked to perfection and the sauce to die for.

Even the bar area was buzzing, now with a full range of draught drinks and a live singer.

I was even pleasantly surprised with the bill.

We will be back soon.

Visited today and expected it to be quiet with the January lull but there was no lull in the service or quality of food and drink. The food was fantastic and a great choice of wine, spirits and cocktails. We ordered the 3 for £15 tapas (6 dishes for the 2 of us) with a nice bottle of white Rioja. The portions were very satisfactory. The roast cauliflower dish was a revelation. No room for a dessert but had a lovely Spanish gin that I hadn't seen elsewhere. Service was friendly and not at all pushy. Very relaxed place. We will certainly be back.

Third visit last night. Absolutely loved it again. Every dish was perfectly cooked and the service once again was superb. Please give me a hint though on the marinade for the gambas, I need to eat it at least weekly, it was devine and I wanted to drink it out of the bowl�� See you all again very soon

Our third visit to Hito last week ( we don’t get out much these days since having a new baby ). Every time we have visited we have been really pleased with both the food and the service. All dishes served piping hot and full of exciting flavours. We think the prices are spot on for the quality of the food and the skills of the chef. So glad it’s on our doorstep as it’s about as far as we get to venture out at the moment!!! See you again soon x

Our first time at Hito yesterday evening. My comment on Facebook was my tastebuds had died and gone to heaven. We enjoyed every dish but standout was the tomato bread , the pork belly and the cod. Had a great white Rioja too. All served by friendly informal staff in a great environment. We will keep returning until we've finished the menu and then start again.

My birthday celebration was made fantastic here, great food, service was exceptional would definitely recommend and return X

Lovely family meal at hito for my husband's birthday. The food was delicious and portion sizes bigger than expected which was great. Friendly service and lovely surroundings. We will be back.

Just had the perfect evening in Hito. Friendly and welcoming service. Marvellous tapas, arriving when it was ready, really amazingly tasty. Having spent a week in Seville last year and regularly spending time in Spain to eat tapas and drink wine, I can happily say that Hito hits the mark <3 The Gambas were huge! Can recommend the chorizo too......yummy. Relaxed atmosphere, nice wine, great service. Will definitely be back! Thanks guys for a top night xx

Just had an amazing meal at hito! Food and service to die for! The chef smashed it with the octopus and the fillet of beef. Must be the standard of his haircut that inspires him.

It was our first experience of Hito last night and it was absolutely beautiful! Myself & my husband love tapas and we were recently spoilt in Barcelona with their amazing tapas restaurant Sensi Tapas but Hito was not far behind! We were served by two lovely friendly, professional girls whom made the experience even more enjoyable! Fabulous Hito! A great new addition to our beautiful village of Ripponden and we can’t wait to go again! Xx �

Had the best night out in ages! Went for cocktails at Society first (just a minute walk from Hito’s). Then we enjoyed our tapas at Hito, served over a couple of hours, the food was good and the atmosphere was great. We enjoyed the live acoustic music while we ate and drank in the cosy, romantic atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back, it made a perfect date night, thanks Hito’s! X

Had steak to absolutely die for here last week! Great service, beautiful decor, fantastic offers on drinks and food. Can't fault it! Already planning when I can come back �

Good to have a tapas restaurant back in Ripponden. Dare I say it, it may be even better than the previous 1!!! Food is astounding. Just go with at least 4 people so you can try more dishes as they all look amazing. Will be back soon.

First visit and had a marvellous evening there. Friendly attentive service, nice food, reasonable prices. Will be back shortly.

Faultless from beginning to end, with personal preferences (no chillies, please turn the music down) taken into account. These are not the tiny Tapas plates you get abroad, they were generous portions. My birthday treat, thankyou for making it memorable.
