Wow !!! Thank you ... for me personally our Christmas Meal with you yesterday was stunning !! To serve 60 plus diners efficiently was a treat ! The generous portions of meat, potatoes and vegetables which were all hot and delicious was a joy !! Nothing was too much trouble ... WELL DONE to you all... followed by the tables reserved for us in the heated area enabled us to continue enjoying our time at The Metropolitan. .. I for one will definitely be back !! Xxx Thank you! We were a gathering of seven getting together for a catch up and Christmas meal. Had a lovely evening good food and brilliant staff. Thanks to all ’┐Į

We came to this place as a last minute change of plans and I'm very glad we did! The place itself has a nice atmosphere and we were given a very warm welcome. When ordering our food we asked for a red wine suggestion which went down a treat. The service was quick and attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious and we will definitely be coming back again!

Our family went to celebrate my sister birthday. Thank you for fitting us all in at short notice especially as it is large group and on a busy saturday night and we didnt need to put a deposit down. We have visited several times and the food is excellent. Always plenty of choice. Our meals are big portions we always feel full afterwards. Lovely waiting on staff very friendly and helpful. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.

My sister Angela and I eat there it was so good and I love the place it wasn't like this years ago when I had a shop on Lapwing lane it was a rite drug den you could get any drug you wanted K x

My first visit to the Metro with my wife, daughter and 2 grandsons. We had a first class meal, very attentive and courteous staff. A memorable first visit.

Love the Met. Food is a good as ever. I had the fish and chips with the most awesome homemade tartare sauce. Pudding was a lovely wedge of satsuma and whiskey bread and butter pudding with cinnamon custard. Yum! The venue has a great atmosphere and no music! So you can actually hold a conversation. How rare is that? Highly recommended. Maybe not at the weekend unless you like fighting your way through a six deep, though well dressed, scrum to get to the bar. The restaurant will still be fine and dandy though.

Having moved away from Manchester myself and a group of friends choose The Met as the venue for our Christmas reunion each year. We drunk here for years and find the food, drinks and service excellent. Yesterday 16 of us came for our annual meeting and enjoyed superb service, great food and drinks in a fantastic atmosphere. We'll be back again. Well worth a visit!

Came here on a visit today with my partner our daughter, my sister and her partner. From the outside looked lovely, child friendly (for my 4 year old) and welcoming. Was NOT disappointed. Beautiful interior, lovely old style bar, chose the roast pork it was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Huge portion, was the best roast IŌĆÖve ever tasted. Service was quick efficient and friendly even though they were busy. We were too stuffed for pudding but my daughter wanted a chocolate brownie so I did steal a spoonful and it was delicious, warm and melt in the mouth!! ’┐Į’┐Į Want to say thank you so much for a very enjoyable time, not from the area we live in North Wales near Chester but as my sister lives here I will definitively want to pay you another visit next time weŌĆÖre up!! Thank you so so much again - wish I could give it more stars!! ’┐Į

Been loads been always fab food and amazing and the soup is yummy bring back the pumpkin soup I was dreaming about it

Went for Sunday lunch today on my first visit and was very impressed. Good menu selection, HUGE portion on the roast dinner and good service. Not the cheapest but certainly a lovely place to visit for a relaxed Sunday afternoon, will definitely be back!

A nice welcoming pub in Didsbury - always good value, nice food and connect with the lovely 4Networking group who meet there every Thursday fortnightly...Nuff said.

Venue is nice but gluten free options are limited and very expensive. There aren't many Gluten Free options on the teatime 2 courses for ┬Ż15. Not only was I left with steak as the only option I wanted which was ┬Ż18.95, it was an extra ┬Ż1.95 for sauce and ┬Ż3.95 for chips! Surely you can do better than this for coeliacs? Won't be eating here again!

Went there for my birthday lunch, my partner ordered the burger and I ordered the chicken wrapped in bacon with risotto, our dinners arrived in good time but mine was a vegetarian rissoto which I didn't order.The waitress said 'I'm sorry, but if you want that it will be another 15-20 mins, would you like something faster like a sandwich?'

I said no, she didn't offer to take my partners meal back at all so we could eat together.

Then the original waiter who took my order said sorry for the confusion.What confusion I pointed to it on the menu when I ordered??

As an apology they took my pint off the bill, how generous I thought.

The burger was lovely to be fair but the customer service was appalling.

Very disappointed as myself and my colleagues drink there regularly.Hopefully it was just a one off but that one off spoilt my birthday lunch.

We had a lovely dinner on a busy Saturday night. I payed with my credit card & put in my pin. The waitress explained that it hadn't worked & so put through the payment again. Same screen came up as before, suggesting the payment HAD gone through. I said it had gone through, as the same screen had come up. I was told "there's nothing we can do" and had to pay the remaining ┬Ż50. No apology, no free drinks, just 50 minutes of discussion back & forth. So I was charged ┬Ż60 rather than ┬Ż30. No hospitality shown whatsoever. ┬Ż30 refunded 4 days later. Appalling.
