The Moon Under Water- Wetherspoons Deansgate

It was lunch time on a Tuesday and extremely busy however the bar staff was very helpful and efficient. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot. It was delicious and there was ample for both myself and my husband . . .

Found the pub to be in a good location especially if you want something to eat.Thought the staff were quick and did a good job.It was my second visit to The Moon under the Water.

Cracking place for food drink like the menu. Service was good 2. Really nice and warm welcome

Went in last night for my boyfriends birthday with a few friends. Only expected to stay for a few drinks, but we actually stayed until midnight! Staff were friendly, drinks were cheap, music was amazing and the atmosphere was fantastic! Thank you, will definitely be returning soon �

There for a reunion as its a convenient place to meet... large premises, cheap and cheerful, staff on the bar (where the dance floor is) were excellent they kept there smilies even though they were swamped... two staff ONLY . All afternoon and evening, we were there 14.00 to 20 00 hours. The floor staff were also run of their feet. Tim Martin I think you need to visit again ... Sat 24 March ... woefully understaffed. However we had a brilliant reunion.

Good choice of ales and beer. Food service was quick and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and can get very busy. As with all Wether Spoons could do with a couple more bar staff at busy times.

Well ordered the food and was very fast to come out, wasn’t cooked as asked for



No one came and asked how the food was ! Not surprising as it it’s a Wetherspoons



Over an hour later .... plates and empty glasses still on the table



Others surrounding tables emptied



Not one was wiped with a cloth or cleaner ��

We went for lunch on Monday the 21 May. It was not too busy. I wanted the new goats cheese and onion pizza, they did not have it. I decided to have the baked potato with chilli filling. The potato skin was very hard in places. My husband had the pepperoni pizza and enjoyed it.

Used to be my favourite Weatherspoons in Manchester but the service at the bar was very bad tonight. There wasn’t enough staff on the bar and the ones working on it need to be more alert to customers waiting and serve them in order of when they arrived there. Also not everyone likes mayonnaise some people prefer Salad Cream which this Weatherspoons does not keep or always order I believe, The Old Chapel in Darwen Lancashire always has it. Other than that good and at least you sell one of my favourite drinks- Blue Moon, not all Weatherspoons do.

Never had a problem with the food there before but a serious let down this time. Ordered nachos to start, they declared they had no salsa but offered chilli sauce instead. Nachos came but with no guacamole, the manager said he’d bring some out. He came back & said they were out of guacamole, fair enough he refunded the price. Ordered an 8oz steak for main course, 2oz of it was inedible fat. Waited over an hour for someone to clear the plates, told him about the fat ( not to complain, just to bring it to their attention) didn’t even get a reaction. Very poor Wetherspoons, not up to your usual standards.

Called in for breakfast very poor food cold and tasted like it had been on a shelf waiting to be served Coffey ok a bit strong for me Toilets clean staff friendly service ok Very Cheep I suppose that’s why the food was poor. Chorley a much better restaurant/bar altogether

The Barman on the top bar around 4.45 pm, said he had no Brandy & then fully expected me change my choice. I had to ask him, if there was any on the other bar. I found it a very strange experience.. like I had come into is home asking for a drink he didn’t have, not a public house. Apart from that I had a good night.

Ok, it's a Friday and it's fairly busy. Staff were swopping ends, and missing myself and another lad in the queuing system...? Took 10mins to get served with people who had just got to the bar being served first. It was like we were invisible. Will not be going to this establishment again. Rubbish

Went on 6th April Friday evening 1.10am and was refused entry? Bouncers said it was closing “in a few minutes” 🤔our friends had headed in about 5 minutes earlier as my partner and I had gone into the subway shop across the road. (My partner is diabetic and needed carbs) we followed our friends in 5 mins later to be told it was closing. The bouncers were rude and lacked any social skills. Our friends said they were still serving drinks inside so can’t have been closing in a few minutes then 🤔😡their website said shut at 2am! We are in our 40’s so we’re not drunk trouble makers. As a result of this poor unwelcoming incident we won’t be going again or recommending it to anyone else

Was refused entry as was wearing shorts. This was after watching a group of girls with shorts and skirts enter.

In this day and age it’s ridiculous a male wearing a shirt and smart shorts is refused entry. It’s summer for goodness sake, go and spend your money elsewhere than in this place with their prehistoric sexist rules.

Third Friday we have visited in the last few months and no fish left on Fish Friday. Even let us order and pay for it to be told there was none left. This was 6.30pm. 🐠😭😩

Orderd 2 meals last night for me and my son only 1 turned up waited that long for the 2nd one had to leave it because we would of been late for the concert we was going to so won't be going here again

Just been in for food and had the gourmet chicken burger the chicken had been nuked in a microwave as had gone hard round the edges and it was covered in a cheese sauce that was disgusting and totally ruined it didn't bother to complain as didn't want another one
