The Nursery Wistaston Description
The Nursery has been open since 1996, founded by Carol and Joe who were foster parents to pre adoption babies. The Nursery caters up to 85 children with places from babies to Pre-School children where your child will be cared for in a safe and happy environment. We pride ourselves on creating a homely atmosphere, encouraging each child in the art of play, life skills and socialising with others.
We employ highly qualified staff working within all rooms, ranging from NVQ 2 and 3 to level 6 qualifications. We have one member of staff who holds Early Years Teacher Status who is based in the Pre-School Senior room.
Our Pre-School children are split between two rooms, Juniors and Seniors. Th Junior room is for children who have just turned 3 and the Senior room is for children who will be moving to school in the next school year. We have found having this is beneficial for the children with their development, especially for the children who are preparing for school.

π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦Townhouse Family Hubπͺ
Townhouse has become a hub for 3 of our other nurseries. Children of our Key Worker families at Townhouse Audley Road, The Nursery in Wistaston and Astbury Lane in Congleton have merged together to support our families through this period. We are proud, as a family-based nursery group that we are able to continue to provide childcare to our critical worker families, enabling them to be able to carry on with vital work during this time π.
We are ...so proud of the children from our sister nurseries who have settled in and made lots of new friends while engaging in play and learning. As we continue this journey to provide care and consistency to our families, we know it is appreciated by those that need it most β€οΈ .
Hereβs some feedback from a parent π£: βI would just like to say a massive thank you to all the nursery staff at Townhouse for making my child feel so welcome & for looking after her so well & putting my mind at ease when Iβve phoned to see how she is. A big thank you to Alana for all your help too. Thank you to all of you for everything you all do, you are all doing a fantastic job. My daughter said when she came home on Monday sheβd had lots of fun.β
We have only a small number of limited spaces for families registered at any of our settings. If you are a Key Worker and you require care please give us a call to discuss further on 01270 883383 asking for Emma or Alison βοΈ

Good Afternoon π
Today we have had a game of βMrs Browningβs Boxβ π
This activity allows the children to begin to learn and distinguish various sounds πΆπ΅
... ππ»Itβs a simple one to do at home, all you need is a box (preferably with a lid so the children canβt see the object when making a noise), various objects such as spoons, keys, paper and instruments if you have them. π₯π₯π

π Today the girls have taken advantage of the lovely weather and did some large scale mark making with chalks. This type of activity allows children to gain control over their gross and fine motor skills, in turn, preparing them for when they come to write π·
π° Today in Nursery we have been doing a spot of baking with Kerry! We made yummy fairy cakes, wore the correct uniform and used lots of mathematical language when measuring! We can't wait to try them later ππ΄

Government has asked parents to keep children at home if they can safely do so but they have now confirmed nurseries are to remain open for the children of key/critical workers and vulnerable children. If you believe you fall into this group, please contact nursery as soon as possible. If you fall into this category and are not currently registered with us, we will do our best to provide a place for you so please get in touch. π
Itβs all coming together for our newly refurbished toddler room!!
