Last year we made NEW bunting for Wakes Week held every year during the last week in June. So thank heavens a little job less for this year as it’s ready & waiting for the fun to begin. The village will be brimming with visitors & many of the cottages are trimmed up in celebration of this traditional event which includes well dressing , Morris dancers, tractor parade, themed floats, competitions, brass bands, fun fair & the famous Buxton Billerettes all add up to a fabulous w...eek long event culminating in a torchlit procession through the street. In Tideswell we have 5 coffee & cake refresh points some with outdoor seating for your dog. At TOTS we have a great bean to cup Jura coffee machine which our guests enjoy. If you come to the area try to fit in a coffee tasting session with Buxton Roastery just up the road from us a great artisan roaster by appointment only. Main bedroom now with a view! Yep I am a happy bunny finally after much debate/bribery & persuasion I got a planter placed on the roof space in front of the Velux in our main bedroom. The light from the Velux was is good but I hated seeing the roof tiles only beneath the sky. Problem fixed & yes fairy lights going on later in the year!! Hubby made the cool planter courtesy of ‘Alias Industries’. I like to think all our Ducks are in a row in the 2nd bedroom & the Sparrows are perched perfectly on the kitchen wall cupboards. Had a fabulous morning with my M&D got my new coat on & really put it through the mill took it for a dip & a roll it stayed on despite no rear leg straps its shaped over my rump so its easy to get on.
