🌳Welcome to the beginning of term y’all 🌳 Today we’ve had our home-edders in the woods. Was lovely to catch up with everyone after a long and lovely summer. Got straight in with some prep for the week, sawing up wood, putting up a new storage shed. Then we got creative with some leftover clay from the pizza oven construction, using a Dutch oven as a makeshift kiln....Check it out!! Really creative bunch this lot. Holiday clubs have been awesome this summer, they really have been a big sunny bundle of loveliness. There are only a few places available on each Wednesday & Thursday over the next two weeks, so grab them while you can. Next term is nearing, and although our toddler groups are fully booked, we have spaces available for HOME-ED kids over 6 years old. Keep the fun rolling into autumn people! 🌳🤠

Holiday Clubs have begun and we’re reminded why we love them so! Friendships made, teams formed, laughter, dens, tools, exploring and above all.....just being kids in the woods. What a term!!! It’s now officially summer holidays, and we’ve had a lovely final week. The sun has shone. The pizza oven has made its debut run. We’ve played and laughed a lot. Searched the woods for natural treasures including some crazy bugs 🐛 . Our youngest attendees have used tools successfully. We’ve said some goodbyes to some of our home-ed kids as they’ve transitioned into school, as well as members of our toddler groups that have graduated into school age. It’s been emotional, and from our whole team, thank you so much for coming along to our sessions and sharing our passion for allowing children to thrive and grow through forest-school. Looking forward to seeing y’all through Holiday Clubs and into next terms sessions 🤠🌳

🌳☀️Holiday Clubs are days away!!☀️🌳 The countdown is on as term draws to a close, and we’re gearing up for holiday clubs. Some days are looking busy busy, though there are spaces available throughout. Don’t miss out! Looking forward to seeing our regulars and new faces soon 🤠

Sunshine Preschool were in this afternoon, and a lovely bunch they were too! Whilst on a bug-hunt they found not one, but two of these ‘toads in the hole’. They’ve found shelter deep within a rotten tree stump, probably in search of the last damp areas in the woods. Much as the sunshine has been lovely, the woods could do with some rain! 🤔

☀️🌳SUMMER HOLIDAY IN TWO WEEKS🌳☀️ That’s right people!!! From the 1st August on Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout Summer, we’ll be in the woods doing what we do best......allowing your children to do what they do best; having fun, learning, making new friends and enjoying being outdoors. Fires with mallows and hot chocolate, shelter building, tools, games, challenges, laughs and fresh air. Bookings are open!!!!!🤠

Sunshine has blessed us this last few weeks, other than Sunday where our birthday Party attendees braved out the worst downpour in the history of Exmouth Forest School! We’ve been doing Solar-graffiti, making small world mine-shafts, playing Kubb (awesome game...look it up) and chilling in hammocks. Toddlers, get ready for your woodland hunt tomorrow and Thursday! 🌳🍃🤠

❗️Home-Ed / Toddler groups this week❗️ For those of you that usually come through Knowle Village (Budleigh) on your way to the woods, the road is closed from the Dog and Donkey pub all this week!! Alternative routes will need to be found, so follow diversion signs 🤔

🌳🌳SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUBS🌳🌳 We are now taking bookings for holiday-clubs throughout Summer, beginning at the end of July. Running Wednesdays & Thursdays, we’ll be opening up the woods to faces old and new for woodland fun with friends. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Nick & the team at Exmouth forest school. Sydney & all her friends had an amazing time at her party today and we couldn't have asked for more! Nick is absolutely awesome with the kids & got everyone involved. Would highly recommend and can't wait for the next time �

We had the most amazing afternoon at Exmouth forest school. It was easy to book and the session was extremely well run. Nick, the instructor, had a great manner with the children... I had never seen a health and safety talk about how to move around the forest done in such a fun way!!! We turned up with sausages, rolls and a cake and he did the rest. The children were entertained the whole time as they built shelters, found bugs, searched for leaves, explored the woodland and solved problems. We finished by making fires, warming marshmallows and eating S'mores! A totally fantastic experience for all involved �

We had our daughter's 5th birthday party with Nick at Exmouth Forest School on a glorious May Sunday. Nick was phenomenal, the children were delighted with every moment of the party, the adults were all buzzing with excitement and enthusiasm and we didn’t want it to end. And best of all, our birthday girl made some amazing memories.



Nick was truly brilliant with the perfect balance of humour, activities, careful management of the children's safety while ensuring lots of fun is had by all. We will most certainly be back, for school holiday activities as well - but the only challenge is it has set the bar very, very high for future parties!!

Thanks Nick for such a great afternoon - all the boys (age 7) had such a brilliant time. Best children's party ever, stress free, nice environment, cool activities and well run. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much for an amazing party! Children and adults alike all had an amazing time! Children said "it was the best day ever!!" 3000 out of 10! Nick was totally amazing with the children and made sure we all had a great day. Will be recommending to others. Thank you. Amy (one happy and tired mummy!!) :) :) :)

Seriously cannot thank Nick enough for the most magical day. U know something has gone well when your child says that was the best party ever �. The adults enjoyed the fun and activities as much as the children. Cannot recommend the Forest School highly enough. If you want to make some special memories for your child's birthday then this is the place to book. Nick is awesome with the kids (and adults). The activities are fantastic, the price is great and the experience unforgettable. Brilliant job guys ��

Out first time at Forest school today was amazing, we all really enjoyed it, looking forward to coming back- especially for hot chocolate and toasted marsh mellows round the fire!!! Would highly recommend ! Thanks Nick - it was awesome! Xx

Our daughter had amazing birthday party last Sunday and it is all thanks to Marty and Nick. Kids and parents loved it, they are still talking about it, not to give party secrets away, kids had fantastic activities, they were all happy, occupied and experiencing beautiful nature. Marshmallows and sausages from the camp fire were a treat. Big thank you! Our daughter asked if we can be back next year.

My son and a friend attended the holiday club today and had THE best time! They want to come back next week! Thanku very much �

The sessions are well organised with some structure but freedom to explore.

The activities are well thought out, age appropriate & teach the children about the amazing environment around them.

Nick is brilliant with the children & has oodles of enthusiasm & knowledge to share.

I’ve been doing toddler and mummy groups for over two years and this truly has been the best one yet. For me and my child. We love it! Loads of fun and learning but relaxing for parent/guardian and child. Also it’s a longer session so it’s a really good.

She’s knackered at the end so always naps too, so mummy bonus!

Keep up the amazing work.

Brilliant 7th birthday party led by Nick. Lots of fun. Den building and “testing” the dens using a big water pistol with the kids inside the den! Firelighting and campfire marshmallows and sausages. Team games. Plenty of running around and kids just being kids in the trees. All the kids left with big smiles in their faces, thanks!

Attended a birthday party today at Exmouth Forest School. It was fantastic, Nick was so interactive with all the children! Such a great party. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

A very special place with outstanding people. I've been going (nearly) every week with my 3-year old for 9 months and we plan to continue in September as we both love it!

A perfect party. We had a party for my 4 year old boy and his friends last weekend and my daughter had her 6th birthday here last summer. A great set up, fun activities, marshmallows, dens and more. Not only did the kids have a great time but the grown ups as well. A stress free, safe, fun morning in the woods. Would highly recommend.

A fantastic birthday party for Morgan's 6th birthday. Thanks so much, can't recommend Nick and the Exmouth Forest School enough. Twelve very happy children - who've also learnt a few things today too!

5*!! Nick and the team are amazing and my usually anxious child had an absolute ball with them during half term. She came home with a healthy glow, huge smile and totally awesome hand carved butter knife!! Thank you all, she will be back �
