since the point changed hands its gone from strength to strength. worthy of 5 stars every visit!!

What a treat, we both had the chicken liver parfait which was beyond delicious, so smooth and luxurious, Jess had the deep fried Camembert starter as a main, it was plenty, very large for a starter and beautifully presented . I had the sea bass from the specials board with crushed new potatoes with lemon and herb dressing, once again delicious. We hadn't planned a desert but thought it would be rude not to. So we shared a chocolate fondant with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, like everything else it hit the spot. We will be back

What a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. We were there for a Christmas party. Everybody was served at the same time, which is rare with 24 people. The food was lovely and hot and there was enough of it. Everybody enjoyed the evening, would definitely return again

Went there today as had a meeting in the designated area. Fantastic staff, very friendly and great place. Every one smiling and great atmosphere. Lovely to see. Food was lovely...

We've been here a few times and always had good friendly service, we had lunch on our last visit food was excellent and great value.

We took advantage of the Groupon deal and really enjoyed our steak dinner, it was tasty and the service was really good too.

We held our Daughters engagement party here last Saturday it was a great night the buffet was excellent the staff could not do enough for us big thanks to Niamh �a fantastic venue for a party xxxx

We had a delicious lunch lovely wine and served by very friendly helpful staff.

Can't wait to come back �

Treated my husband to a birthday meal here ..... wonderful food and lovely atmosphere. I usually struggle with menu choices as I am a veggie, but I was spoilt for choice � Will definitely be going there again.

Superb food. Very reasonable kids meals. I had the scallops which were perfect.

Regular haunts of this place especially since the last owner left... friendly, dog friendly and a whole different atmosphere...well done!

Popped in today for a Sunday roast and it was very nice we had the dog with us so he had a sneaky bit of roast beef under the table will deffo go there again.

Fabulous Dirty Chai Latte with soya milk this am out in the sunshine. I know I’m a fussy bugger but staff are always so friendly and make you feel welcome. Love this place. (Ps gave you a little mention in Express and Echo this week page 36) ��

Every time we visit Exmouth we eat here..Think the staff have changed but the food is excellent..The chief is fabulous he/she definitely know there way around a kitchen and they cook the local fish to perfection...Always worth a visit...Just lovely to sit and enjoy a coffee or have a meal.

Another great steak meal, 3 of us enjoyed, always good, lovely hot weather, with the big doors open, we felt we were abroad. Clapson family.

This would be five stars as we love this place but... having ordered a couple of Aperol Spritz which were perfect your probably wondering where this is going... we ordered a couple more in the same glasses to which the young girl who served us got reprimanded... not for reusing our glasses but for serving them in a gin glass not a wine glass! Now anybody who’s has been to Italy will know that a good Aperol Spritz is served in a large glass with ice and fruit (usually orange) so consequently the second ones were awful as there wasn’t enough room in the silly little wine glass for ...

Decided to visit last night, such a shame, food slow to come even though the restaurant was quiet and had to return steak as stone cold and tough as old boots. Not good enough for £18. Such a shame as its in a fantastic location and great décor.

Stopped here back in September for a coffee, waited 25 mins for our coffee to be brought to us! Then when it did arrive we were given the wrong order!!! Wasn't even busy so can't understand how it took so long! Won't be visiting again I'm affraid!

My burger was spot on thanks chef. But my cousins never appeared when we questioned the bearded fellow called Luke behind the bar suggested that it was never ordered. Knowing that we had we requested it be sent out,20mins passed before it arrived no apologies if anything it felt we the customer were in the wrong with receipt in hand we challenged Luke he then looked at the receipt noticed we had not just paid for the meal but had been charged to much for our drinks by £2 then it was suggested the waitress was at fault still no apology was given.



Added to this experience was another table being asked to move with there young family the waitress felt they would effect the trades follow to the bar

Rightly so the farther refused to move the waitress didn’t like this at all and she made it clear.



My mother suggested we come here after visiting many times for coffee and cake and loved the place

She left very embarrassed needless to say we won’t be back.

Popped in for a pot of tea for 2, came to a total of £4.40. Went to pay by card and was told it would be better for me if i paid with cash otherwise it would be £7.50! When challenged they replied it is because of the bank charges they incur for people paying by card! I told them that was illegal and i can you use my card for a 10p purchase should i choose too without being forced to suffer any additional charges. Lucky I had a £5 note. Won't be back! Terrible attitude!

Stopped here back in September for a coffee, waited 25 mins for our coffee to be brought to us! Then when it did arrive we were given the wrong order!!! Wasn't even busy so can't understand how it took so long! Won't be visiting again I'm affraid!

My burger was spot on thanks chef. But my cousins never appeared when we questioned the bearded fellow called Luke behind the bar suggested that it was never ordered. Knowing that we had we requested it be sent out,20mins passed before it arrived no apologies if anything it felt we the customer were in the wrong with receipt in hand we challenged Luke he then looked at the receipt noticed we had not just paid for the meal but had been charged to much for our drinks by £2 then it was suggested the waitress was at fault still no apology was given.



Added to this experience was another table being asked to move with there young family the waitress felt they would effect the trades follow to the bar

Rightly so the farther refused to move the waitress didn’t like this at all and she made it clear.



My mother suggested we come here after visiting many times for coffee and cake and loved the place

She left very embarrassed needless to say we won’t be back.

Popped in for a pot of tea for 2, came to a total of £4.40. Went to pay by card and was told it would be better for me if i paid with cash otherwise it would be £7.50! When challenged they replied it is because of the bank charges they incur for people paying by card! I told them that was illegal and i can you use my card for a 10p purchase should i choose too without being forced to suffer any additional charges. Lucky I had a £5 note. Won't be back! Terrible attitude!

Food was terrible and expensive and was trying to find parking for 30min ,everywhere just private parking or double yellow lines!!(not friendly city for tourists)in end was walking 15min from parking where have to pay 24/7 and got not tasty food ;( not going back !!!

since the point changed hands its gone from strength to strength. worthy of 5 stars every visit!!

What a treat, we both had the chicken liver parfait which was beyond delicious, so smooth and luxurious, Jess had the deep fried Camembert starter as a main, it was plenty, very large for a starter and beautifully presented . I had the sea bass from the specials board with crushed new potatoes with lemon and herb dressing, once again delicious. We hadn't planned a desert but thought it would be rude not to. So we shared a chocolate fondant with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream, like everything else it hit the spot. We will be back

What a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. We were there for a Christmas party. Everybody was served at the same time, which is rare with 24 people. The food was lovely and hot and there was enough of it. Everybody enjoyed the evening, would definitely return again

Went there today as had a meeting in the designated area. Fantastic staff, very friendly and great place. Every one smiling and great atmosphere. Lovely to see. Food was lovely...

We've been here a few times and always had good friendly service, we had lunch on our last visit food was excellent and great value.

We took advantage of the Groupon deal and really enjoyed our steak dinner, it was tasty and the service was really good too.

We held our Daughters engagement party here last Saturday it was a great night the buffet was excellent the staff could not do enough for us big thanks to Niamh �a fantastic venue for a party xxxx

We had a delicious lunch lovely wine and served by very friendly helpful staff.

Treated my husband to a birthday meal here ..... wonderful food and lovely atmosphere. I usually struggle with menu choices as I am a veggie, but I was spoilt for choice � Will definitely be going there again.

Superb food. Very reasonable kids meals. I had the scallops which were perfect.

Every time we visit Exmouth we eat here..Think the staff have changed but the food is excellent..The chief is fabulous he/she definitely know there way around a kitchen and they cook the local fish to perfection...Always worth a visit...Just lovely to sit and enjoy a coffee or have a meal.

This would be five stars as we love this place but... having ordered a couple of Aperol Spritz which were perfect your probably wondering where this is going... we ordered a couple more in the same glasses to which the young girl who served us got reprimanded... not for reusing our glasses but for serving them in a gin glass not a wine glass! Now anybody who’s has been to Italy will know that a good Aperol Spritz is served in a large glass with ice and fruit (usually orange) so consequently the second ones were awful as there wasn’t enough room in the silly little wine glass for ...

Decided to visit last night, such a shame, food slow to come even though the restaurant was quiet and had to return steak as stone cold and tough as old boots. Not good enough for £18. Such a shame as its in a fantastic location and great décor.
