Table for 9 after Work tea time special. Lovely atmosphere & unexpected live singer with guitar who was fab. Food excellent value £15 for 3 courses and they didn’t mind one bit when we moved to outdoors for 3rd course to be in the sun. Defo coming back. Oh, there was an accident where waitress dropped a meal but a new one was made & a free bottle of wine was provided. Excellent customer service for what was an accident. Can’t wait to go back �

Pre show meal with live music. The guy on the guitar was excellent just like the food. Quite reasonable prices especially the Liverpool Gin. Staff were brilliant so we will definitely be going again!

It's our go to place, never had a bad meal, desert's are my favourite, ( especially the toffee cheesecake with apple compote) which really needs to come back on the menu. Staff are all ways friendly, the cocktails are lovely, all in all a great place to visit.

Had such a lovely night here last night. We were a table of 6, had no waiting around for our food and drinks, staff were all very friendly and the food was amazing I had the Seabass and it was simply beautiful. The lad singing on guitar was brilliant too. We used the Sunday wine and dine deal which was excellent value 2 courses and a bottle of wine each for £20, we also ordered from the cocktail list as it was happy hour and the cocktails were delicious . Can't fault any of it. Thank you for a lovely night we look forward to coming back �

Excellent menu at reasonable prices , well cooked food served by very professional thoughtful staff. The wine was rather good too. Very busy but didn't have to wait to get served. Can't recommend The Refinery highly enough would not hesitate to return there. Perfect for pre show meal at the Philarmonic Hall just across the road.

Me and my sister took our Mum for Mothers Day. Even though the place was packed out the service was really efficient and all three courses were great. Staff were really friendly and helpful, happy to change certain things on the set menu for us. The live singer could have picked more upbeat songs but other than that it was a really pleasant experience. We will definitely be returning x

Didnt eat there as we stumbled upon it having just moved to Liverpool. Huge glass of wine !! and nice quality for a very reasonable price, especially considering had just paid 8.30 for a glass of the same wine at Pizza express across the road. 2 thirds of the price more. Great atmosphere in there, lively but relaxed. Will be going back to eat as the menu looked good and prices looked very reasonable.

Despite being busy they found us a table very quickly, spoilt for choice with the menu, after ordering service was very quick, not pricey, good choice of drinks, something for everyone.



Food very nice and presented well, One big plus live music included, not too load and popular songs.

We were part of a wedding party on the whole it was a good night but unfortunately you need to teach some of the waiting on staff how to wait on table's. We had a 3 week old baby in a pram and my daughter in-law had to tell 3 of the staff not to pass plates with steak knives on over the pram the baby was in. Could not believe anyone would actually do this. Really unbelievable.

Unfortunately the kitchen staff were unable to make s basic fish pie to the menu brand standard.My pie arrived with a poached egg that had had the life completely boiled out of it ,no spinach and no cheddar cheese mash.In fact what arrived in front of me was more a bowl of fish soup.

After returning the so called fish pie I opted for the grilled chicken breast with chips and peppercorn sauce.The chicken had been roasted not grilled,the chips were hard in the middle and the peppercorn sauce consisted of some warmed up cream with crushed black pepper.I could not be bothered complaining about the chicken dish as I was hungry and wanted food as my guest had already eaten his steak.

I did receive a free bottle of wine and if not for the front of house team I would be giving this place a 0 rating

Food is ok, but watching a staff member take a stirer out of a customer's drink that's on a tray ready to serve and lick stirer and put in bin is not very hygienic or good customer service when the staff member then proceeds to serve the customer the drinks,

Can’t fault the waiting on staff, quickly served and attentive. Food average, had a mixed grill, they give you really thick chips that look anaemic and not cooked in the middle. There was a singer on that made me want to drown myself in my soup. 6/10 probably wouldn’t return.

Went for Mother's Day for a big table of 25 people. On arrival, bar staff were great and very attentive but once we had moved to the table there were a few problems including having only one waitress who took all the orders which took a while, delays in food service - one dish & sauces arrived when everyone else had practically finished, although starters & desserts were delicious, the mains were bland for most of us dining which was a real shame as it could have been really nice. Even though on the whole there was a nice feel and nice decor, I will not be rushing back.

Seated about 2030hrs ordered Caribbean jerk style ribs, arrived before our drinks order, absolutely tasteless food. Main course ox cheek with horseradish mashed potatoes and a side of mixed vegetables, absolutely tasteless food once again. I can’t believe a kitchen can serve food like this, obviously no chef tastes this. 4 customers who will not return and will recommend all our friends to avoid....

Pre ordered food but they didn’t actually cook it so had to wait but it was all a bit bland ...... and expensive for food that wasn’t to the high level you would expect
