Went tonight with the other half for the first time in a few years and couldn’t be more impressed with the way Lee and his family have turned this place around. The food was fantastic everything cooked to perfection. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough for you.

Went in for a meal with my girlfriend on Monday 19th of Feb, wow what a treat, best meal I have had out in ages, I had Chips peas and homemade rag pudding, it was perfect, my girlfriend enjoyed her meal too. The price was very good too, will definitely be going back soon.

Went here today with my family for a meal. Lovely food, warm and cosy and excellent team of staff running the pub. Mulled wine was delicious too! Will definitely be returning soon �

Went for the first time today, it was really busy but we got a table and there was 6 of us, we had a long wait but soon as the manager/owner realised she was so apologetic and couldn’t do enough to put things right (which is how it should be) meals was then brought straight out and I must say the food was delicious �, then we was all given free desserts. Also my daughter has a severe nut allergy and they was so helpful there was an exceptional variety of food to cater to her needs. Thanks once again and we will definitely be visiting again.

Went Sunday Lunch and then again last night what a turnaround the landlord and landlady have done , certainly have got it right good atmosphere staff lovely and for the first time ever it was warm!! Would recommend to anyone and have done �

We came yesterday evening for drink and bite to eat, the service was fab and food was delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

Took my family for a meal on Tuesday 2nd January as we had been told since the pub has been taken over we must give it a try. Well we weren't disappointed, it was brill, food was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes are huge, really good value for money. Lee and Andrea are doing an amazing job as are all the staff. We will definitely be going there again I can guarantee that..

Lovely atmosphere, great food, staff are very welcoming and the place has a really nice feel to it. Would definitely recommend and I'll be back soon.

1st visit today and it won't be our last, warm friendly, country pub, along with the lovely food served, all hot and home cooked and perfectly presented. It was lovely being waited on by the wonderful couple who have taken over the pub, thank you for making our visit to the Rising Moon so enjoyable x

Under new management , was my first visit in many many years . Good traditional food at reasonable prices , landlord was very friendly and camera around to check that everything is/was fine. Also dog friendly too .

New management in three weeks ago and already improving the food, the staff are friendly and helpful, its clean warm and very comfortable! Give it ago you won't be disappointed �

A nice few hours with family. Over all nice place, friendly staff. Disapointed with my main 'Hunters Chicken'. Been looking forward to that all week. Looked like it had been under the heat lamp for an hour and shrunk. The chips were brown and soggy. On the plus side, the 'Garlic Stilton Mushrooms', OMG!!! Should have had that twice and the 'Gingerbread Cheese Cake' Was really good. Shouln't have had that but hey. Will go again and try something else. Hope this helps?

2nd visit in just over a week. Considering I only live 5 mins away I had never been but I decided I'd give it a go after seeing it was under new management and I'm really glad I did. Lovely atmosphere, great food, staff are very welcoming and the place has a really nice feel to it. Would definitely recommend and I'll be back soon.

1st visit today and it won't be our last, warm friendly, country pub, along with the lovely food served, all hot and home cooked and perfectly presented. It was lovely being waited on by the wonderful couple who have taken over the pub, thank you for making our visit to the Rising Moon so enjoyable x

We have been here a couple of times now . very friendly staff good food freshly cooked would recommend you try it buts it is busy

Under new management , was my first visit in many many years . Good traditional food at reasonable prices , landlord was very friendly and camera around to check that everything is/was fine. Also dog friendly too .

New management in three weeks ago and already improving the food, the staff are friendly and helpful, its clean warm and very comfortable! Give it ago you won't be disappointed �

A nice few hours with family. Over all nice place, friendly staff. Disapointed with my main 'Hunters Chicken'. Been looking forward to that all week. Looked like it had been under the heat lamp for an hour and shrunk. The chips were brown and soggy. On the plus side, the 'Garlic Stilton Mushrooms', OMG!!! Should have had that twice and the 'Gingerbread Cheese Cake' Was really good. Shouln't have had that but hey. Will go again and try something else. Hope this helps?
