Purely amazing. Returning once again to make you laugh and amaze. He's had guys pretending to be dogs guarding doors. Girls building sandcastles and getting George Michael to appear.. You know who you are 😂😂. He left Lee lead on the floor for over 45 minutes, What a laugh, convinced he was only on the floor for a few moments.

Went to the Halloween party with my little girl and she loved it, great entertainment for all the kids, great friendly staff and management

Well kept beer and lovely food. Helpful staff in spite of the fact that it was food festival day and very busy.

We attended mayor making at the rose and crown. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. Thank you to all the staff

My wife and i received a very warm, friendly welcome from all the staff, along with a pleasant atmosphere, and great food and drink.

A starter, two main meals and 5 drinks for under 40 quid. Very reasonable. Thank you very much!!!

Lovely pub near to the castle with really nice food especially the cheese pie, the pint was lovely, customer service was fantastic and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area � � � � �

Lovely food and beautifully cooked vegetables, and I could get a smaller portion that I could eat and not waste any. Decent beer - 13 Guns. Well done Thwaites for experimenting and coming up with something new and very tasty - there's a lot of competition out there now!

Had such a wonderful after Christening party here! The food was excellent and everything was set up beautifully! Was blown away with how nice everyone was and how easy they made everything on my daughters big day! Everyone enjoyed themselves.

Great pub and accommodation. Breakfast was great. The staff very friendly and helpful will definitely be going again

Was down at the Grand with The Skids and popped in and heard an excellent Clash tribute band..On Parole 👍🏼 Good sound and good atmosphere

Lovely warm and friendly pub - rooms clean but a little on the small side but very comfortable - full English Breakfast included in the price all in all good value for money

Just had a really good roast beef dinner. Plenty to eat and very well cooked.
