good vibe, good music (and loads of variety) plus super cool staff... fab to see a place like this in the centre of Northwich

User

What a fantastic venue, amazing team of staff- we’ll be back!!

User

What a fantastic evening with pastry shoes at the salty dog last night, the place was jumping dancing, singing along a brilliant atmosphere, thanks pastry shoes xx and thanks salty dog for having pastry shoes at the salty dog, already looking forward to seeing with you very soon.

User

Well run friendly bar. Great venue for local bands ! Brings life to that end of northwich throughout the week too 😁

User

Travelled from Blackpool to watch Flatfoot56 and it was a quality night. The Salty Dog is a fantastic and cosy venue, with great staff, a wide selection of real ale and awesome music. Can't wait to visit again.

User

This is an awesome little venue with a great atmosphere and an incredible range of quality beers. It's just what Northwich needs!

User

Superb venue and staff, last night was great. And to be told that i was the 1st frontman to be singing and round at the bar at the same time is an honour

User

Proud to call this place my local, a must visit pub if a fantastic selection of real ales, great company and live music are your thing

User

My first visit to The Salty Dog to see Yur Mum and The Empty Page. A great little venue!! The staff are very friendly- some of the best people I’ve come across at a venue in a long time. Being a non drinker, it’s great to see there is a coffee list. All round brilliant. I will return.

User

Headed to the SD on Sunday 6th May as Wasted Life were on a 4 band line up and after seeing them in Preston I wanted to catch them again... I'd never been to Northwich and on arriving into the town, you would barely believe there was a place as cool as the Salty Dog right in the centre of it! The venue has the artists performing virtually in the middle of the audience but for the elevated section, it's a real feeling of unity between the bands and the audience... The line-up didn't disappoint either, Wasted Life are a gem of a find for me personally, and for heading to Northwich to see them I find yet another gem in Benefit State from Salford - taking nothing away from 'Same As' and 'Thirteen' from Scotland, all in all it was a trip I'm very glad I made... I'll certainly be heading here again and soon - Can't comment on the beer as I don't drink, another little pleasure the Doctor took away from me lol

User

Great place not just for drinks, but it's the only place in Northwich which makes an effort to support local bands and host events. Can't rate this place highly enough for the amount effort put in by the staff and owners.

User

Great place for music in Northwich! Such a small venue but such a great sound. Staff are all good folk! Good stop off place for a musician.

User

Given that I’ve had plenty of fantastic visits here I should probably leave a review to say just how great the bar is.

First of all, the reason we all go to the pub is for a pint, and I’ve never had a bad one in this place, and that’s probably because it’s recently won a CAMRA award.

Great selection of Ales and always something different to try.

The real ale club (I think it’s on Mondays) is also great value for money,

Secondly, the staff; brilliant, knowledgeable and very friendly.

Third, the atmosphere - if you want a chic surrounding with empty gin bottles with candles stuck in them and fancy cocktails, you’re in the wrong place. If you want to sit and have a chat with an eclectic mix of people (including, on occasion my 2 year old son, who is always made to feel very welcome) then get yourself down.

Finally, the music/events - a real broad spectrum of entertainment is on offer, from ‘metal nights’ & ‘acoustic nights’ to ‘comedy nights’ - there will be something to suit all tastes, so check out their Facebook account regularly to see what’s on offer.

Keep going guys, this is exactly what Northwich needed.
