Hi, We are new, so go easy on us x
We would like to introduce ourselves as the new tenants at the Shady oak.
We hope that with our investment and support from the brewery we will be able to bring the best out of this beautiful spot.
... We have recently taken over the 6 acre site and have identified several improvements that we will be carrying out over the next 8 months. Plans are with our architect and we are in the process of applying for planning permission for the development of a new shower block, toilets and visiting centre on the existing land. We have identified the camp site as needing renovating and have plans drawn up to develop multiple Glamping Cabins complete with Gin Garden. We felt it would be nice to add a bit of luxury to your stay in this beautiful countryside setting.
Who wouldnt love a bit of Gin and Glamping? 🙂 We will have TP tents, and improvements to the existing stations for 12 caravans and tent area. This will include a communal outside cooking station, lighting and electric points. The lower grass area adjacent to the pub has been neglected and our plan is to level the area, add an extension to the lawned area and have a 24m x 9m hard floor area that would enable us to put up temporary marquees for private events, weddings, birthdays, corporates etc etc.
The existing Beer Garden is a lovely tranquil space with views of the canal and Beaston Castle, we will be looking to add a bit of colour to the area and have asked our florist Bloom Room flowers to come up with a design to improve the space and welcoming local wildlife to enjoy the area. One of the many reasons we bought into this beautiful property was the potential for us to improve the pub, while putting our unique stamp on the premises. This has been somewhat of a speciality of ours having taken over the Cheshire Cheese on the Wirral and building an adjacent Gin Garden As well as the new food and drink market Marine Street Social in New Brighton.
For those visiting our lovely pub you will notice some subtle changes heading into the winter before the main development begins ready for our April re-launch. Please feel free to introduce yourselves and ask any questions you like regarding our plans. This is a Cheshire pub and we want to make improvements for the local community and those visiting the area that will leave a lasting impression.
We will keep you all up to date with plans and improvements as they happen
We will continue to be open during this period we have a new menu that can cater to all dietary needs.
Steve and Carl x
