We had our wedding here on the 10th September they couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. Katie organized everything for us and came up with some brilliant ideas. Two days before our wedding we decided to have our wedding ceremony in the horse shoe and then our wedding breakfast in heyloft. Katie went on to organize all this for us and didn't even charge us any extra for it. The grounds are perfect for photos. There's nothing I would have changed. Thank you so much Katie and your team for making our day amazing

We had our wedding here last Saturday, and every aspect from booking, planning leading up to and including the day has been fantastic!! Mia was amazing in helping us plan our wedding, taking care of all the little details, and available whenever we needed any reassurance. Simon and team were also amazing, they couldn't do enough on the day to ensure our wedding ran smoothly. All the guests commented on how lovely the room looked and how welcoming the staff were, we truly believe all of the staff at the stables enabled us to have the wedding we dreamed of. We had our wedding here and it was fantastic! Mia was fabulous at arranging everything beforehand for us- including all the little things! Katie and her team did a wonderful job setting up the room the night before very late because we had an early wedding. On the day Simon and his team made sure everything ran smoothly - even settling the nerves on the day. He organised everything so we didn't need to worry! We couldn't have asked for a better venue- beautiful views. From start to finish everything was perfect. A huge thank you to everyone at The stables for making our day so special! We loved it! Xxxx

On behalf of myself and gorgeous wife I would like to thank the staff at The Stables for their organisation and care in ensuring we had the most amazing wedding day anyone could ask for. From the start Mia was amazing in making all the arrangements and accommodating our requests. Simon was fantastic on the day making sure the day ran smoothly and was always on hand if needed. He and the rest of the staff worked tirelessly all day and into the early hours. I would highly recommend this venue. �

On behalf of me and my new husband, we would like to thank Mia, Simon and the rest of the team for helping us create the most perfect memories. We were married on the 7th April and everything was fabulous, it was everything we asked for. Nothing was too much for the team and our guests are continually telling us they had a brilliant day and loved the venue!

Myself and my husband got married at the Stables Country Club in the horseshoe suite on Saturday 19th August 2017. We had an amazing day and the room was beautiful. We would like to say a big thank you to Mia for helping to co-ordinate everything and also to Simon for being there on the day and supporting us. Would definitely recommend this venue.

My lovely wife and I would like to say a big thank you to the staff. Our wedding day could not of been any better. Massive thank you to Mia for helping us plan everything and also to Katie who on the day was extremely professional and made us all feel welcome. Her quiet confidence really gave us all the confidence we needed too. The food was gorgeous and everyone was saying how much they enjoyed it, even my veggie option wasn't substandard it was very well done. We chose to use the resident DJ and for anyone planning their wedding for the future, you can't go wrong with him. He was fun, friendly and played various different types of music so everyone was happy and you can tell what he was saying! Room looked gorgeous too we felt right at home.

My husband and I got married here on Thursday, and what an amazing day it was! When we were looking for a venue over 2 years ago we fell in love with this place as soon as we saw it! We didnt want a church wedding but we wanted the place we got married to feel like a wedding venue, we didnt want it to have a hotel feel to it, and the stables (horseshoe suite) did not disappoint! Not to mention the grounds surrounding! We had many people commenting on how gorgeous the venue is, the food was delicious (especially the shortbread love hearts for dessert) and great portion sizes, the sausage and bacon butties being a big hit! Simon and Mckenzie were absolutely lovely and ensured that our day went without a hitch from start to finish! The resident DJ Rob was also a delight, very friendly, took the time out to speak to me and congratulate us, and also played excellent “cheesy pop” songs which we requested! The dancefloor was always occupied! I just want to give a big shout out to Mia, from day one of booking this venue she has been amazing, all my emails i sent she always replied, with a very friendly manner and nothing was too much to ask, she is excellent!



I would highly recommend this venue to anybody wanting to get married!



My only gripe, which is more with the bolholt than the stables was that the day after our wedding, which was good friday, there was a mix up with breakfast times! When reading the information it says that normal serving time is until 9am, except bank holidays which is 10am, which to me and all my guests that stayed over believe that good friday is a bank holiday, so when some people arrived for breakfast after 9am (having paid in advance) to be told that they had stopped serving was very frustrating, and even after many complaints made to staff a refund on the breakfast was not offered!

My husband and I can’t thank the staff at the stables country club enough. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, we couldn’t of asked for anything more from the venue or staff. From choosing the venue to the actual day everyone involved was helpful and professional. Would highly recommend. Thank you

Mia, Mackenzie, Simon and the rest of the team contributed towards the best day of our lives. The venue was stunning, everything ran smoothly and Mackenzie helped put us at ease on the day. The day ran perfectly and everyone commented on how lovely the food was. If you are looking for a wedding venue with a relaxed atmosphere and stunning scenery then this is the place for you. I got married here on Friday in the horseshoe room. We had the most amazing day, the room looked stunning and all the staff were fantastic. Had our wedding here 21st January. Fantastic! � from help with the planning right through to 2 days after when we remembered that we had left the wedding cake! Haha. Mia was fantastic! Answering our many, many questions. Nothing was too much trouble. Simon and Mackenzie were brilliant on the day. Again, nothing was a problem. They made us both feel relaxed in the knowledge that everything was running smoothly. The food was excellent. Especially the hog roast in the evening. Outstanding! :) The lady (sorry I didn't get her name) who decorated the room for the ceremony did a brilliant job! It was beautiful � Peter, the dj in the evening was brilliant too! Funny, friendly guy who ensured the entertainment ran smoothly. We would highly recommend the Stables country club to anyone! Absolutely love this place. The management and staff are lovely to deal with. The grounds are beautiful and all the events I've attended have been extremely well run. Had the venue pie and peas recently at a WHN quiz night = gorgeous. Highly recommended; Gill at GEM

The 80/90's night was nothing to shout about. The food was plain and boring. Warm cheesecake yuk. Bar service slow two bar staff on. The place had no atmosphere. The only thing good was the lovely people we went with.

Really disappointed in this years Family NYE night. We’ve been coming here for NYE for the past 5 years and have seen a decline in the way it’s ran.

Why oh why is there no senior staff who are there to check everything’s running smoothly- more enthusiastic when greeting people etc? Before there has always been someone and it just means that whilst the young staff cleared away and were polite, they looked totally uninterested and didn’t have a foggiest when asking simple questions.

Why on earth has the bar prices been hiked up so much? Two pints and a pint of lemonade= £15. This isn’t London, nor the Ritz so why are the prices so ludicrous? Is it to make up for the fact it was no where near as busy this year? Also- choices of drinks on the bar were lacking for the prices of them. No offence but get with the times. Gin is a major seller at the minute with an array of mixers. All I had on offer was lemonade or tonic. I asked if you stocked Rose lemonade and looked at me like I’d just come down from Mars. Anyhow- I dread to think of the price if you did stock it. A mocktail for our pregnant friend cost over £5 and I’m positive it was a J2O. Hardly original.

Entertainer. He does the same stuff Every. Single. Year. The kids are bored with it and given that they’re 9,8 and 3 that’s not good. Why not rotate entertainers on a three year thing instead of the same one with the same jokes?

DJ- I liked the way he tried to get the kids involved in further games after the entertainment finished. Usually it’s a lot of nothingness for the kids after Kevin. However him trying to rope us all into games when we’ve barely parked our arse, and eating buffet wasn’t good.

Which brings me to mention- why oh why does the buffet get served at 7?? In fact it was announced it was ready at 6.45pm. The reception drinks were served at 6.30pm as advertised, why would people want to eat 15mins later? People hadn’t even turned up, and you want to welcome your friends and have a convo. Because it’s like attending a wedding, we eat a late lunch so weren’t even hungry. By the time you’re hungry the foods gone! It’s all a bit rushed.

Your prices for tickets and drinks have increased but nothing to show for it. Our night out as a family of 5 cost us over £300 all in and I don’t think we’ll be willing to spend so much again on a mediocre night. Shame, as our group alone was 13 of us and quite often is.
