The Stanley Arms is a fantastic gastropub nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful friendly staff. The food is amazing and you have to try their chicken curry it’s to die for! My friend had the cheese onion and potato pie and she said it was delicious! Desserts were also out of this world....make sure that you leave room for one! Thanks to Sam and Team Stanley for the wonderful welcome once again. See you soon X

Not been here before ,the food was fantastic ,staff very friendly ,and the service was brilliant ,we will definitely be

returning.

Had a lovely meal,didn't go in to the restaurant ate in the bar had a nice bottle of wine hubby had a few drink and we found the prices very good,then enjoyed the company of some locals that are in there every week will defo be going back.

Great meal with excellent service from very friendly staff. Lovely to be able to dine al fresco too.

Great food. Generous portions which I always finish up giving to my husband as I can't eat it all

Attended the stanley arms for the first time in many years for my dads 80th on saturday evening , fantastic night great staff and lovely food for a party of 25 . Staff could not do enough for ourselves very warm and welcoming and a great selection of gin too. Thanks for making my dads birthday special

Absolutely love this place. The food is always fresh and delicious. We often eat here and so decided to have our wedding meal here. All of our guests commented on how lovely the food was. The conservatory was dressed beautifully for us too. Staff were all lovely and attentive. Could not fault anything. Every time we have been it's always been a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Definitely recommend.

A little gem of a classic English pub.

We took a Spanish family on their first ever visit to England. They wanted to see a typical english pub and taste traditional English food. The Stanley fitted the bill perfectly. We got a warm welcome from the barman in the busy, cosy bar, with a great range of beers and wines. We chose to eat in the dining room which easily accommodated our party of 9. All the staff were attentive, giving us time to choose from the extensive menu and specials board. As well as the classic roasts, and fish n chips there was a variety of fish, meat and vegetarian options in interesting and inviting sauces. The separate children’s menu catered for every taste. We chose dishes right across the menu. The order was taken promptly and the food arrived quickly. It was a veritable feast, substantial portions accompanied by an array of fresh vegetables and potatoes. All dishes were beautifully cooked and full of flavour.

Our Spanish guests, who run a successful restaurant themselves, were very impressed. Thanks to all at the Stanley for making it such a memorable experience.

7 of us went for lunch on Good Friday. Food was excellent and the staff really helpful, efficient and so friendly. Will definitely be returning.

My lamb dish was beautiful. My husband ordered a mixed grill which he has had many times and usually loves it. Unfortunately his time the steak was full of fat and he couldn't cut through it and the lamb was tough so he was very disappointed. It won't put us off coming again as usually there food is amazing. Just a rogue meal this time 😢
