this pub is a beautiful little treasure that has not changed since i was in my teens. so welcoming always wonderful beers, lovely friendly staff,no television, no bad music,and to top it all you have table service. long may this gorgeous treasure remain xilu garcia

We love coming to this pub because everyone is friendly, the staff always go above and beyond and the place has a great ambiance...highly recommended

The friendliest, most lovely and heartwarming pub you could ever hope to find... A real gem. Well-kept cask ales and a fabulous atmosphere, sadly lacking in today's chain pubs. Long may it continue. Highly recommended.

The beer here is well curated. It is served to the table by unbearded bar staff lacking any signs of hipster nonsense. It has no music, canned or otherwise. There are snacks. It is a veritable oasis. I like it very very much.

It is the world's best pub. I often go there with friends and cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff and regulars are friendly and the decor is amazing. Great ales and a top quiz!

Great pub, always drop in for a pint or two when I am back in Liverpool, my Grandad used to drink in the " Voly ". Lovely pint in a quiet atmosphere. For you history lovers ,some amazing pictures on the walls of the local area

Great little pub remernisent of a old style family house with extent beers and the best pint of Guinness out of Ireland , the service is good staff very friendly and always up for a laugh , the locals are a friendly bunch and always ready for a chat,

All in All a true pub with good old fashioned traditions but to top it all off a great selection of real ales only made better by a wel kept cellar

Brilliant pub been going for years worked there at one point ideally out the way of south Road. A proper pub with great selection of cask ales.

As a Londoner who was well off his normal manor, visiting my mate Andy for the weekend who lives nearby, I was made to feel welcome by the locals and staff alike . Fantastic little pub and a good laugh had. Pity we're losing so many similar such places down in London. Can't wait to go back here the next time I'm visiting Mr Whitty!
