Very helpful staff and great food. We dropped in there on the off chance of a Sunday lunch at 5.30 yesterday. As I am disabled my wife left me in the car and went in to inquire about the lunches. There was only 1 beef lunch left, the staff were kind enough to go to the kitchen and reserve it for me whilst my wife got me out of the car into the pub. Fantastic service. It's 5 stars from me.

This is the place to be if you are looking for a cosy & lovely place with great view to chill out and have a sumptuous meal! The staff are warm & friendly too! Thumbs up!! ;)

The food was excellent and the service was very good. Although it is my local I di not often eat there. Plenty of choice from the menu and we were served quickly.

The Watermead Inn in Aylesbury is the ONLY place that I will ever call "home" when I'm in town. The staff are always so polite, very knowledgeable and at all times professional. The owner, Kelvin Wong is always on the ball, always taking care of his customers. He is, without a shadow of a doubt, the nicest, happiest, friendliest owner/manager of an establishment such as this that I have ever had the pleasure to know. Simply put, whether you're on a first date, a last date, celebrating an Anniversary, or trying to drown your sorrows on your 50th birthday, Kelvin and his team of stars there at The Watermead Inn will take great and extra special care of you. My favourite pub to go to and both my son's too. When I tell my 9 year old he can choose any place to eat and he chooses the Watermead every time, you know they're doing something right. Love the staff, who know what drinks we're ordering before we've even ordered. Sophia is so good with my youngest son, he loves her! Wonderful food and massive portions. See you tomorrow guys.

Great pub with good Sunday roast and a great selection of wines. We had a great lunch with friends and the service was great. The mixed roast is a must have. Definitely be back again. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

Great food. Great drinks. I visited my cousin in Aylesbury and she brought me here for dinner and to meet my Aunt and Uncle, whom I had never met before. I am from Canada and I would recommend this pub to anyone who is looking to enjoy the authentic rural British pub without the touristy crap.

Great food as every other time we have been here it's our new favourite place to go for a special meal out. Steak is always cooked just right and the sweet potato fries are to die for. Shame the soft drinks like Pepsi don't have free refil or a little bit cheaper but food is on point!

Good food, reasonably priced. Live in Watermead so go here all the time. Held a first birthday party here as well and the staff were very tolerant of 20 plus kids running all over the place and extremely helpful with everything we need. Great view over the lake too for a nice summer evening drink or meal.

Found this lovely place due to a County Darts weekend....Lovely pub, Staff were friendly & helpful.

Food was wonderful, best chicken I have ever had and well priced too.

Excellent atmosphere with a perfect view outside. The food is amazing, staff are well trained and very friendly! Family friendly and dog friendly also! Hosts some wicked events, just the perfect place to go for a relaxing drink or a lovely meal! I'd recommend to anyone! �

Pros - Pleasant service and nice food. Liked being able to sit out next to the lake. Cost very reasonable. Cons - didn’t like the amount of goose/duck poo which rather spoilt the area and if it is not already being done it could do with very regular high pressure hosing. The Inn could do with a bit of external decoration as looked a bit ‘tired’!

The food was absolutely gorgeous and was delivered very quickly given how busy it was however this was extremely let down by the service from every member of staff! We asked 3 times to pay our bill and all 3 staff ignored our request, one even started serving on the bar and when j approached the bar to ask again I was told I'd need to wait as there were drinks she needed to serve. I could've easily walked out without paying a large bill and no one would've been any the wiser. When I brought this fact to the attention of another member of staff they told me I couldn't have made my intentions very clear. But how much clearer could I have made it other than "can I pay my bill please?" I also queried why their menu displays things they don't actually sell and prices and sizes are wrong. The member of staff was very rude and abrupt and I almost refused to pay my bill and would call tomorrow to sort with a manager but couldn't be bothered with the aggravation. Absolutely ruined night, was a shame because I loved the food. But the people let it down so much. It's a shame customers aren't valued.

Sorry Kelvin, more often than not the food has been hit and miss recently, this time it was a miss. I have always said, the only let down of the dishes served are the the vegetables!... even with your new menu, lack of them and quality ... everything else, when they get it right is spot on...



Tonight, unfortunately was a a let down!!... “grilled vegetables” with my dinner, (blade of beef with mash with “grilled veg” and gravy) found hiding under the mash, no wonder they were hiding!.... shameful, extremely thinly sliced, approx 6/7 of strands of pepper and tomato, it resembled someone’s left over salad from the night before’s kebab ��



Bar staff and management (not yourself, as you were not present) didn’t bat an eyelid when I complained, In fact the “issue” seemed to be regarding the terminology I used, I inadvertently complained about roasted” veg, when in fact it was “grilled “ veg... as if this should make a difference to the veg you are served!!..apparently it’s sliced thinner to be grilled!!!... it could not have got much thinner!!!..



I was informed that I could have asked for more of the same, the point, I think being missed!... the density and quality!!...why would I ask for more “mush?”



I do have to say the blade of beef and mash was outstanding... I did offer to take the chef and the staff to a restaurant and show them what cooked vegetables look like!....



Please don’t penny pinch on the quality and portion control of your vegetables... unless you order a side of green beans with any of the menu options, the vegetables served are laughable, which is a pitty..as the location and atmosphere of the pub is wonderful in general..

Save yourselves some money and DO NOT eat here. It is the biggest waste of money. The food was awful and the service was just as bad. The roast beef was 2 pieces of sliced beef which were chewy. The knife couldn't even cut through it.

I had to send the desserts back as the cost they charge does not warrant the portion size.

I asked the owner to call me to discuss this but as yet no call. Too gutless to face his customers.

This was our 2nd visit and the 1st experience was just as bad. But thought I would give it another chance but wish I hadn't bothered. Give this place a wide berth for food ��
