User

Excellent food and service second time we have visited and it was lovely friendly staff and quick fast service worth a visit to any one wondering where to eat and socialise 😃😃

User

Called in for the first time today, whilst walking the dogs~deffo won't be the last time. Very friendly reception from all staff members and the added bonus was being able to eat inside with the dogs.

Although it was sunny today, it was a bit chilly to be eating outside which is where dog owners tend to find themselves.

Menu had a very good range of options, and when served it was lovely.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Yew Tree to anyone, but especially those with a dog!

User

Went in for breakfast on bank holiday Monday. Very friendly staff and fresh well cooked food. Little bit of a wait which was strange as we were the only people in there, but no real problem. Only downside i could say would be a bit overpriced for the large breakfast and then a hot drink tea/coffee priced on top. Think that could be included with the breakfast.

User

We went in for a drink and it was a good atmosphere, the staff were friendly and the price wasn't too bad so thumbs up!

User

Lovely lunch today. Six lunches 3 desserts all lovely excellent service

User

Had tea at The Yew Tree tonight and it was great. Had an issue with my food but the staff dealt with it quickly and very positively. To me it's not an issue that shows the quality of a place but how it is dealt with. We'll definitely be back and will recommend to others. The food I ate was delicious.

User

Had decided to try after not been there in years.heard good reviews so was pleasantly surprised.was quiet busy being Sunday tea time hence the long wait for the food but wasn't diserpointed. All 3 of us had something different to eat and all of us thourghly enjoyed it.the fish and chips was absolutely lovely fresh and huge portion.nice friendly staff and reasonably priced.definitely would go again.

User

Few Huns here and nice beer,. Not tried the food but I’m sure it’s ok! I might pop there for a few hours at Christmas and have a little party am not sure I’d they had a duke box but that would be brilliant see you soon

User

ordered food 20 mins before the couple came in after us/ they got fed and finished before i had to ask where our food !!!! once they had finished thier meal .... was a busy friday night so average. food was ok not a big portion for price but food was hot and nice

User

The food was good ,service was good ,but me bein me I just think that £10 for fish, chips and peas and £10 for a Sunday dinner is a bit steap cha xx

User

Talked my husband into giving this pub another try after him not going in for years, well we went ordered food and drinks at the bar, waited 50 minutes before asking how long wait is on food only to be told that the kitchen never got our order, i asked for money back and left, needless to say my husband wasn't impressed a second time.

The bar staff had forgot to take my order into the kitchen, very disappointed customer

User

I was very disappointed today, I took my partner out for a birthday meal, we had the lamb rump dinner. We couldn't even chew the lamb so we basically had to leave it, when asked if everything was ok i unfortunately had to complain and although the staff were very apologetic it still cost us £35 for the two of us. So although our visit last time was lovely we won't be going back due to not even been offered an alternative or a discount. So we came home still hungry.

User

Just had breakfast with my son, having had a few visits for breakfast previously - all of which were good experiences.

First, id like to say the food, when it arrived, was good. Hot, well-presented - just what we wanted.

The service was mediocre at best. Having been told to sit and have my order taken, i went to the bar myself after 10 minutes of no activity. I ordered food and 2 coffees.

The coffees arrived, but i then had to go and ask for sugar. Why??

The food was just over 40 minutes to come out to us. That is a ridiculous length of time even if everything was prepped and cooked to order. It was practically lunchtime when we finally ate. Additionally, the waiter serving us stopped to deal with someone who had just walked through the door rather than fetch our toast. Bad form! A polite 'ill be with you in 1 moment' to them is what he should have done.

I asked for more coffees, which again were around 10 minutes. Old cups were not cleared.

I dont recall seeing 3 staff work with such lack of enthusiasm or urgency before. When i paid, it appeared the staff had all changed (into lunch service at this point).

I have never written a review online before - and certainly not a bad one. I work in the industry, which is why id like to reiterate that the food was very good. The service is what let you down. Badly in my opinion.

Most expensive basic dried out tasteless meal I’ve ever had. £4.50 for a pint and £5.60 for a single gin. Wish we’d of stayed at home and cooked
