New blog...after being inspired by Jasmin Paris and her epic achievement in winning an ultra marathon earlier this month, I’ve shared my ramblings about my sporting heroins.
I’d love to know who yours are and why?

Wow - found out about this in my quest for less plastic. A way to recycle Ella’s kitchen (and other brands!!) food pouches. There’s a public drop off place in Sale too! Happy to collect from everyone at my classes - just bring rinsed out pouches with you https://www.terracycle.co.uk/…/brigades /the-ella-s-kitchen-…

Sad day today as I had my last training session with this lovely lady. She was my first ever PT client and started training with me over 2 years ago when I first set up the business. . Olivia and I met when we were working for Kellogg’s what seems like a million moons ago and we’ve been friends ever since. . Will miss our weekly catch ups and trying out all kinds of new workouts on you (you were a fab guinea pig!!) ... . Thank you for everything - for believing in me at the beginning of my journey and being one of my first ever customers 😍😍

Started running post-kids with Becca’s couch to 5k to try to find some fitness and me-time. Since progressed through the 5-10k classes and I’m now training for a half marathon with Becca-something I never dreamt I would do! I love the encouraging and non-judgemental atmosphere of Becca’s running groups and they help me find motivation to push myself. 5 can’t recommend enough!

User

Just booked my second lot of sessions with Becca. I can't recommend her enough: she's warm, funny, supportive and really good at what she does. After six sessions, I've had a 54% reduction in the amount of bingo in my wings, and a 22% increase in the number of boys coming to my yard to look for milkshake. Looks like the HIIT is paying off 👌🏻

So glad I treated myself to personal PT sessions with Becca, and looking forward to seeing more progress.

User

I've just finished the beginners class, I'm by no means the fastest runner, but Becca is very clear that this doesn't matter and just makes you feel proud for getting yourself out there and trying! I've loved the class on a Monday, but just as importantly I've loved having the support of the Facebook group and becca along the way, it kept me going and made me keep going out and having a run when I would previously have given up. I really can't recommend This mum can fitness highly enough!

User

I was a nervous, non runner when I started Becca’s beginners running club in April 2017 and thought I’d struggle to even run for 60 seconds but was determined to give the C25k a go. With help from a fab group of friendly ladies, becca’s amazing spirit and some determination I realised I could do it! Over a year later I’m still running with a lovely friend I made through the class. Highly recommended!

User

I recently completed Becca's This Mum Can 'Couch to 5k' course. Over 10 weeks, I transformed from someone who is a total non-runner into someone who can fairly comfortably run for over 30 minutes at a time. I'm now debating whether or not to try the This Mum Can '5 - 10k' course!

Becca's graduated training programmes are very well thought out and she offers lots of guidance and encouragement, as well as access to physiotherapist expertise. If you are thinking of giving running a go, This Mum Can is a brilliant place to start.

User

I love Becca’s running club: it’s so friendly, it’s really helped me improve my PB, and Becca’s so enthusiastic it gets me out running in all weathers!

User

I joined the 10 week running class having not been able to get into a pattern of exercise, blaming being busy. I hadn't run more than 500m in ten years. But the Monday group runs, the Facebook group encouragement and Becca's support now mean I can run 5k. In December I have run 24.5k, mostly solo. I never would have believed that.

I'm now joining the 5-10k group.

I'm still not the fastest, but I'm doing it!

Thanks Becca!! I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone give it a go!

User

I joined Becca’s beginners running club in April this year. My daughter was 4 months old and I wanted to get my fitness levels up, meet some likeminded people and more importantly have a bit of ‘me time’.

There was a moment in the 2nd week where I struggled to run 90 seconds and thought how the hell am I going to run for 30 mins, but the club was exactly what I needed and doing it every Monday was the motivation I needed to ensure I made time for two other runs during the week. I graduated 12 weeks later by doing my first 5k park run and could not have been prouder of myself.

Becca is brilliant and gives you the encouragement you need to keep going when you feel like falling flat on your face. Since finishing the club I have continued to run 5k every week and once I feel I’m ready I plan to do the 5k to 10k club!

User

I have been going to the 5-10km running club for 4 weeks now and would recommend it to anyone. I really look forward to the Tuesday night group run and the online support from Becca and the other ‘Mums’ inspire me to get out running the rest of the week too. It is definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone (which, let’s face it, is the only way to progress).

User

I did the couch to 5k with Becca and she is great. I am not a runner but after 10 weeks I did the 5k Blue run at the Etihad stadium in 37 mins. I have kept it up by running 3 times a week. I didn't believe I could do it but Becca did.

User

I did Becca’s couch to 5k last year and returned to do it again this year after a break from running. Having sworn I’ll never ever be a runner, I’m also now halfway through Beccas 5-10k club. I’d really recommend Beccas classes to anyone who is nervous about fitness or running. The added bonus of all this is I’ve slimmed myself out of my maternity jeans, had an excuse to leave the house (especially during tea or bathtime ) and I’ve actually had fun too !!

User

I can highly recommend the beginners couch to 5k running club with Becca. At the beginning there was no way I thought I’d be running 5k by week ten as I had not done any exercise for quite a while, but I did it and the sense of achievement feels amazing! Becca is really encouraging and supportive so if you’re considering joining I’d say definitely go for it, I’m so glad I did!

User

Great classes for people at all levels of running. Friendly and supportive groups of people... it was so easy (and nice!) to meet new friends. Can’t recommend these classes enough! X

User

Fantastic! Rebecca has classes for everyone of all abilities, you are really made to feel welcome! Get yourself along, you will not regret it!! PS its not just for mum's any one can join!

User

Cannot recommend Becca & her classes enough. I hate the gym and enjoy running. Becca's fitness classes turn a boring run in to a fun and more thorough workout. It's lovely to spend time out in Sale with like minded women. Becca really motivates you to the point i have just signed up for my first half marathon!

User

Becca is warm, funny and a great motivator. The group runs are fun and are a great way of helping to stay motivated during the week, even in the rain! I joined the couch to 5k group in January and it's helped me to feel fitter, meet new people and enjoy running. I really recommend joining a group and giving it a go.

User

Becca is brilliant, so encouraging whatever your pace and makes you believe that you will get there - and amazingly enough you do! I would never have believed it and nor would my husband who is also chuffed about my ability to go running with him after doing Becca's 0-5k beginners running club!

I had always hated running and couldn't even run to catch a bus before doing this 10 week course but it's life changing and I'm determined to keep it up - i couldn't have done it without Becca and going out with a group of women makes it much more fun and achievable so i'd recommend this to anyone - from a girl (who isn't a mum) who now can!!

User

Becca is amazing! I’m not a mum but was welcomed warmly to the 0-5K programme and now the 5-10K. I’m definitely not a natural runner but it doesn’t matter in the slightest, Becca is hugely encouraging and has inspired everyone in the groups to be their best. I’ve met some other really lovely people through the groups as well, everyone is so supportive of each other which helps us run further! Thank you! xxx

User

Becca is amazing and joining the running club was such a fab way of just getting out, escaping the house, meeting other mummies and having a bit of craic whilst exercising... who’d have thought it?! None of us quite believed we’d get to 5km, a lot of us were total novice runners, and to be honest the stairs were a challenge after just week 1 but by week 7 I was there... running for over 30mins without stopping and crying when I saw I’d reached 5km!!! Amazing! I felt like a new woman after running for 30mins even after the crappiest of days and literally can’t wait to start again now in January and get back on it! Becca is such a lovely person, and really encourages you to just get to the best you can get to... whatever that is! Who cares about those in front, she just focuses on you running your race... and now I can run and have lovely running club friends... win win!
