Hi to all our Facebook friends. We are holding arena hire in half hour slots on Sunday 20th November throughout the day. Indoor on a fantastic surface out of the weather. There will be a full course of jumps already set up so turn up adjust the height and away you go. £15 half hour but of course longer can be book. Relaxed Showjumping on Sunday. Clear round starting at 10am with 45cm class at 11am followed by 55cm 65cm and 75cm. £8 per class with no requirements for competition dress. Both warm up and class on a surface, we hope in a friendly atmosphere 😊

Wow what a day!!! Brilliant dressage tests beautifully ridden and very well behaved ponies. We raised over £300 for such an amazing charity, Macmillan. Thankyou to everybody.

Evening all. Thornton House are holding a showjumping day on Sunday 27th September. Designed to be fun and relaxed. There is no need for competition dress just safe riding wear. The course will be indoor on a fab surface with warm up outdoors also on a surface. The format for the day is as follows...... 9:30 clear round 11:00 45cm (no fillers) 55cm (no fillers)... 65cm 75cm 80cm If there are at least 2 people wanting to do another class say 85cm happy to do that too or jump as a clear round at the end. £5 per clear round inc rosette and £8 per class inc small prize. As you will notice from the score sheets we have a new points system in place, at each of our dressage competitions we will be awarding points 7 for 1st, 6 for 2nd right down to 2 for 6th and 1 point for each competitor. We will then at the end of the winter be awarding some awards! Good luck all and hopefully all will be having fun! Xx

Just a quick note to say what a fantastic day we all had today at dressage. Was good to see so many lovely horses and fab riders. Some great scores, lovely comments and pointers to work on. A big thank you and well done to you all. The biggest thankyou has to go to our judge and helpers without you we couldn't run such days and for that we are very grateful. Sunday 13th September sees our very popular relaxed dressage day. Come along and join in dressage tests ran as a competition but without the competition hassle. No formal dress and hours of bathing just safe riding wear and a smile!!!!

Thornton House Farm is delighted to announce that on Saturday 11 July, it will again be holding a "relaxed show jumping" event. The event starts at 1 pm, with clear round not exceeding 60 cm until 2 pm.
Classes include 45 cm (no fillers); 55 cm (fillers at the side); a second clear round for those competitors jumping above 60 cm; 65 cm, 75 cm and 85 cm (with fillers).
An opportunity for competitors to jump higher will depend on confirmed numbers.
... Refreshments will be available on the day.
Classes are £8 each.
Competition dress is not required. Casual but safe clothing and equipment is all that is necessary.
If horse boxes arrive before 12:30 pm, please do not enter the grounds and park on the hard standing adjacent to the entrance gate. Competitors arriving after 12:30 pm may enter the grounds and park adjacent to the indoor school.
Please park in an orderly manner and do not park on the grass.
