About Top Hat Tours
The Ribble Valley has mystical legends and Simon Entwistle, dressed in his authentic Victorian costume, will be delighted to recount some of his favourites as he accompanies you on his guided walks exploring the haunted ginnels, cobbled streets and burial grounds in Clitheroe, Whalley, Blackburn, Accrington, Colne, Skipton, York and Kendal.
Simon conducts the tour in his own graphical style, complete with resident ghosts and sound effects whilst recounting the history of these fascinating towns.
He also carries out guided heritage coach tours for groups for all the above towns and cities. In addition to this, he also provides tours in the Pendle Witch country and tours of the Ribble Valley.
These originate from Oswaldtwistle Mills, Botany Bay, Chorley and Boundary Mills, Colne.
Simon attends many private parties and functions for his ghostly story telling. He has made numerous television appearances doing what he does best, and that is, story telling with a passion.
He is a regular guest at the Stirk House Hotel, nr Clitheroe, presenting on a variety of subjects, such as the Pendle Witches, British Heroes, British Villains, Jack the Ripper, The Battle of Arnhem plus many other Great British ghost stories.

On Friday 1st March, the Civic have got something a little bit special for you, An Evening of Lancashire Tales with Simon Entwistle.
Simon Entwistle is an Award-winning tour guide with a difference, He has a knack for storytelling, and conducts guided tours across three northern counties, Over the years he has amassed a battery of stories. These stories consist of hero’s villains’ ghosts’ murders and mysteries and Simon will bring them all to life at the Theatre with stories... spanning the centuries, Simon is no stranger to the media having won the Lancashire tourism superstar award two times in the last six years And has made slots on national radio and television. Lauren Stirzaker, the Events Manager at the venue says “we are excited to offer A Night of Lancashire Tales as part of our exciting and diverse programme for 2019.
Simon says; “There is nothing I like more than treading the boards and captivating the audience with stories that will paint a picture in your imagination.
