Therapist profile: Tom Rutherford. Tom started his education in sport back in 2012 with a qualification in Sport and Exercise Science at Trafford College. From college Tom also acquired the qualification of a Swedish massage practitioner and has various coaching badges in several sports. From here, Tom decided to pursue a career as a therapist and went on to graduate from Edge Hill University with a degree in BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy in 2017, where he also picked up a sports massage qualification along with Rock Tape Kinesiology taping qualification. Tom is currently working in partnership with Stockport Town Football Club as the first Team Sports Therapist.

Therapist Profile: Joshua Coulson
From his bout at Barnsley FC Academy during his adolescence, Josh gained an interest towards sports rehabilitation, and ultimately decided to pursue a career within the industry once leaving secondary school.
Josh went on to study Athlete Development at Barnsley Sports College, and then upon completion decided to advance his knowledge by studying a Bachelors degree in Sports Therapy at Edge Hill University.
... Josh's University placement involved spending a season working with the youth team at Morecambe FC. In addition to this, Josh has also spent time volunteering with the first team at Barnsley FC.
Currently Josh volunteers at Salford City FC, where he assists the club's Head of Physiotherapy in providing injury prevention and treatment, with both the first team and Academy of 92.
