Transition Endurance Group Description

All our training plans are run and managed through state of the art training software from Training Peaks.
We believe there is a right way to train for an endurance event. It starts with having a clear goal, finding expert instruction, performing structured training and receiving immediate feedback throughout the process. Our eco-system of web, mobile and desktop products will help guide you on your journey.
At Transition our aim to unlock the true potential in each rider. Before any plan is started the coach and rider act as a team to set goals and strategies to achieve a path of success. Good communication is key in achieving those goals and at Transition you have a coach that listens to you and uses this information to create a successful training plan.

Before the plan starts each rider will have a detailed consultation either by phone or in person. Along side the consultation we send out a series of question's about your family and work commitments. Cycling history, goals for the season and what training you have been doing for the past 8 weeks. In your first week you will perform a series of performance and analysis testing either at Transition or remotely depending on what methods to train to.

Periodical testing will be done at the end of each training phase to see how the rider is adapting and progressing to the training load. There are no start up fees, contracts or hidden costs in any of my plans. Each plan is run on a month by month basis with payment set up via a standing order for the 1st of each month.

Who said training has to be antisocial or boring!?
Today I was lucky enough to be invited out by the riders over at Edge Velo, a small Cheshire based club. Todays focus was hill repeats up Artists Lane at a pace equivalent to each riders threshold. Each rider did 6 repeats of the hill which is around 5-6mins in length. The pack was soon spread out along the hill but what was nice to see is that the riders coming back down were shouting encouragement to the riders still going up, a massive boost for all and it showed as the hill PBs started to tumble. A great session and huge smiles all round afterwards
Then coffee and cake, obviously!

It's great to see the first goal of the season ticked off for Phil Jones. This Sunday saw Phil competing at the Aughton Road Race.
Phil says - "Frustrating first half but got clear with 2 laps to go with two other riders, didn’t come last in the sprint this time so I’m improving my lack of fast twitch 😂, time to get my head kicked in now after no more 3/4 racing"
Great work Phil in another fantastic result and achieving your second category.
