First created at the beginning of our #TukosawaCreative journey from a discarded vintage Mexican pine bed this piece has now evolved into what we lovingly refer to as our 'Phoenix' bench.
Although there was interest in its first reincarnation it was not bought so we thought that it was a sign that it needed a little more love.
We hope that you agree that with its metal work brought back to a shine and sturdy arms fitted as well as its extra stain and a waxed polish it is look...ing a lot happier!
Suitable for both internal and external use it would make a great addition to any home or garden.

You may not know this but we take our name 'Tukosawa' from the Swahili... Tuko (We are) and Sawa (ok). This is because of our very special relationship with some very talented craftspeople in Kenya.
Their amazing handicraft is everywhere and very much a part of the culture where little is wasted and where possible re-used. We have committed to showcasing their wares in the UK and supporting the community by returning part of the profits back to them directly.
