Ubiquitous Theatre

About Ubiquitous Theatre

We are a theatre company that is committed to high performance values. We specialise in producing theatre in non-theatrical spaces.

Ubiquitous Theatre Description

We were formed in 1988, out of the amateur drama scene in High Wycombe. We started with classic Shakespeare , King Lear and Richard III, then some Ibsen with Hedda Gabler and we then won the contract to perform at the Cliveden Shakespeare Festival with Taming of the Shrew , Henry IV and the Tempest. Other highlights that followed were Journey's End and Twelve Angry Men and performances at the Salon Varieties in Spain.

We then evolved into a touring company and took
The Birthday Party, A Christmas Carol , Mad Dogs and Englishmen, amongst many others, to local venues and then on to Spain.

Our key principle is to provide high quality theatre to audiences in non theatrical spaces. We are not a drama club. We recruit actors and technicians on a project by project basis and have a rigorous and professional approach to the work.
