The Official Page of University of Central Lancashire Labour Club!
You don't have to be a member of the Labour Party to join our society, you can just join the society for FREE, then come to our fun events and activities!
The Labour party is a democratic, socialist party in the UK.
This purpose of this society will be to encourage debate within the party, encourage people to become politically active, by campaigning and empower UCLan students to stand up to the Values of the Labour Party.
We will be campaigning in any election with the appropriate candidate and the society will also have a strong focus on the more 'social' elements of university life.
But don't worry, this society does not encourage initiation ceremonies. . . .
You do not have to be a member of the Labour Party to be a member of the club.

Just in case anyone needs reminding.
We’ll work with the SU to expel you from the society, and then with regional office to expel you from the party.
A reminder what Antisemitism is:
... “Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.” (International Holocaust Memorial Association, 2016).
This has been adopted by the party and by labour students.

Congratulations folks!!! UCLan Labour Club committee from September 2018 will be thus:
Kainaat Mughal -Chair Stephanie Lomas -Secretary ... Michael Flanagan -Vice Chair Treasury- Vacant and WILL need to be elected in the April by-elections.
Also a strong well done to Steph for retaining her Presidentship of the Law School. Mike for winning Chair of the Students Council! Chairman Mike has a ring to it doesn't it?!
You'll be stuck with Sam Charlton, Amy Billington and Vicki Harmony Wild until the end of the academic year.
We will be having another pub quiz social soon! Hope to see some of you folks on the campaign trail in April/May
