This year I've been starting to build some great working relationships with venues and suppliers in the industry, and I'm really enjoying how open, welcoming and positive it's been. I don't know if I thought that it would be too competitive, or if that was just my made up expectation/fear in my own head? But if it was, then I was very wrong!
... As a fairly new business it's pretty scary at first trying to fit into an industry that's already pretty full, but then again there's always room for you to "do your thing"🙌 We've all got something different to offer, we've all got our own ideal clients...we've just got to not get too distracted about what others around us are doing.
Take inspiration from others and build one another up rather than compete with each other. If we worry about everything that surrounds us then we will never get anywhere as we'd be too busy focussing on the wrong thing!
Keep moving forward to your plan, and grow by understanding your own business and what you are confident in offering your clients. Don't be afraid to work with and support other similar businesses around you.

Does anyone else get nervous when delivering their floral designs to their clients?! I guess it's not just flowers either...cake makers, photographers, MUA's will all feel slightly anxious until they get confirmation from their couple that their work is liked. The build up of nerves for me usually happens the night before the wedding, and it always steps up a gear as I pull up to the wedding venue.
... If I can meet with the bride on the day to deliver her bridal bouquet then I will, as I love to see her face, and this will squish any nervous feelings I have😊 I know deep down that I have done a great job at showing the couple my previous work before they booked with me.✅ I've build up a strong relationship with the couple the year before via consultations and numerous emails ensuring they can visualise my vision for their floral designs as well as I can.✅ And I have listened and met their brief ✅
Giving my clients reassurance throughout the whole process is highly important to me. And I always encourage my past clients to give me reviews and feedback so that I can learn and grow before the next wedding. These help massively with new clients as they can feel much more connected with you, and the trust continues to build between you. Wow is best to describe Katies work, every floral decoration was finished so fine to detail and unique. I like something abit different and not just your "run of the mill" wedding decor and Katie did this magnificently. She helped me through the stressful process putting me at ease and explaining everything. The bouquets were more than I could have ever expected and was blown away with how beautiful it was. I have already recomended Katie to all of my friends but would advise anyone to use her as she will certainly make your day so special
