Gaia's Hideaway cropped. When the trees are in leaf this really will be a gorgeous hideaway tucked away at the bottom of the site with uninterupted views of the Booby Looby hills (Narrowdale Hill and Gratton hill)

A fabulous evening in the barn tonight with some fabulous people - a mix of newbies and oft-visited. Yvonne and Paul have come up trumps again with their organisational and social skills. Well done guys and Happy New Year to all of our campers, glampers, caravanners and motorhomers.

User

Merry Christmas to all of our Caravanners, Campers and future Glampers from Susan, Paul & Yvonne and Liquorice, one of our cats who clearly loves all things Christmassy.

The cheque is very small but I promise we did pay CP Teens £830 from our fundraising events through 2018! We also had a lot of fun and I think the highlight was 'It's a Knockout'. As well as a thank you for the participation and contributions from our campers the biggest thank you has to go to Yvonne and Paul who put their heart and soul into this and helped a lot of people to make some very special memories. I include one of the great action pictures from the It's a Knockout event in August.

This is the original video taken by our Swiss friends who returned to Upper Hurst Farm this year. Simply stunning landscape - how lucky are we? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2f6FKpco 58

Halloween isn't over just yet on site!

Wow this has turned out well today. Another shot of our North view from the entrance road in. Our communal fire-pit is in the foreground. Just look at those Autumn colours!

User

Our North view and South view today respectively

This is well worth a visit - about 25 minutes from here

What a great campsite friendly helpful Paul and Yvonne keep the site perfect and maintain it to a very high standard. Shower and toilet block is immaculate and showers have heated floors Local jersey ice cream is very addictive and sold on site so allow an extra £2.50 per person per night for this wonderful treat

We've just gotten back from a 2 night camping stay, which was actually our first camping trip ever! We loved the site, the location and the staff were so welcoming. The shower/toilet block was immaculate as well as the washing area and rest of the site. Thank you for making our first camping trip such a delight, we can't wait to return! From Beth, Lewis and Eli

We just got back from a long weekend at upper Hurst farm. We were on our second trip out in our caravan so novices to say the least! Yvonne and Paul were so friendly, welcoming and very helpful, even helping us get our van on to pitch. The site facilities were excellent in every way. Yvonne and Paul gave us all the information We needed on the local area. We look forward to returning soon. Many thanks, Ian, Lesley and family.

User

Thank you for a lovely stay over Easter. Despite the snow and rain we had a lovely time and were really impressed that the toilets and showers were immaculate at all times. The fire and marshmallows were great fun.

My turn to add to the 5 star reviews! Just returned from 4 nights at this lovely campsite. Good amount of space for our large tent, which was also equipped with an electric hook up. Shower, toilet and washing up block all in perfectly clean condition- the nicest facilities I’ve ever seen on a campsite. Site was fully booked, but didn’t feel over crowded - loads of space for the kids to play. Kids helped to feed and groom the ponies daily, and everyone was intrigued when beautiful Benedict the peacock showed up to strut around and be fed.

In terms of local area, it’s a beautiful part of the south Peak District, just by the Tissington Trail and Dovedale. A great base to explore the beautiful English countryside.

We will be back!

Just spent 4 nights here. What an amazing site. Toilets and showers immaculate, staff so friendly and views and walks stunning. Would give more stars if I could and definitely return again next season. I can't fault any of it. Yvonne, Paul and Sue take great pride in the site. Reception open all day because they live on site. Nothing was to much trouble and they always had time to stop and chat.

User

Just returned from our second visit here, already planning the next one. Our 6 year old son has asked if he can live there, he loves it so much. I highly recommend Upper Hurst Farm.

Just got back from spending a week at Upper Hurst Farm. The weather was against us but it didn’t stop us getting out! Loads to do and see in the area, lots of stunning scenery, walks and bike trails. The campsite was amazing, the facilities were absolutely spotless and lovely and warm! I can’t thank the staff enough, Yvonne and Paul were amazing and the kids can’t wait to go back and see them! Looking forward to a return visit in the summer.

I won a competition with caravaners r us for a free 2 night stay, what a fantastic site. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Yvonne and had a guided tour of the facilities. Everywhere was immaculate and clean. A nice sized hard standing pitch with electric, water and a waste drain. Our boys enjoyed meeting the ponies and playing on the field. A would highly recommended this site to family and friends and look forward to visiting again soon.

I had the pleasure of visiting Upper Hurst Farm recently and was hugely impressed by the location, the facilities and the enthusiasm of the hosts. It is literally ten minutes from anywhere you might want to visit in the area, yet the setting is so tranquil you could be a million miles away. The site is small, but they haven't tried to cram in as many pitches as possible, so all the guests have some 'personal space'. No expense has been spared on the superior facilities, which I'd liken to camp sites I've seen in France. Nothing resembling the 'Carry on Camping' image that many British camp sites seem content with. There are delightful holiday cottages too, for those who don't have a caravan or motor home. Highly recommended.

User

I can honestly say this is the best campsite we have ever stayed on. The facilities are great but it was the fact that it was small and so very friendly that really sold it to me. We missed a number of our nights due to bad weather and an old leaky tent, and I am so sorry about that because I really feel like we missed out. My three children loved the site and Yvonne enormously, as did I. Thank you so much for having us and I can't wait to come back again.

User

Have come here yesterday ,,, staff carny do enough for you ,, always happy to help,, lovely pub 20 walk away ,, will be back

Owner and wardens very friendly and helpful with a good knowlegde of surrounding areas and activities. Its been our third visit and we will defo be back next year again. Love it!

User

Arrived back a few days ago from our third visit to this wonderful campsite. We love everything about it:

location - close to great places to visit, yet in the middle of glorious countryside

set up - great hard standing, generous, well serviced pitches

size - big enough for there to always be something going on, small enough to be peaceful

friendly wardens - Paul and Yvonne greet us like friends, have a chat are helpful but never intrude

facilities - warm, nicely decorated, always spotless

I could go on but I’ll just say we had such a great time at Easter that we booked again for May Half Term!!

User

Amazing. The amazing toilet block has restored my faith in camping. This camp site is perfect. Clean, friendly, not to big, amazing views. Paul and Yvonne made us feel so comfortable and welcome. Kids also loved their nature filled holiday here and we all agree we'll be back next year. Keep up the great work.

User

Amazing camp site, extremely clean facilities, lovely friendly staff Yvonne and Paul, the kids loved every second of our week long trip and so did we. Plenty of bike trails and walks near by, thank you to everyone and we can’t wait to come back

User

Absolute amazing weekend, Paul, Yvonne and Sue give yourself a big pat on each other's backs. You guys truly made us feel welcome and the memories you helped me create for my birthday are stuck in my head forever. It's strange how you can meet people like yourself and make us feel like we have known you forever. Will 100% be coming back. See you all soon, Mr Wilson and the beautiful Marie.
