best place to eat ever!! Food is amazing and my eyes have been opened to veganism :) before i had the pleasure of working here, I had eaten here a few times and Im so happy a place like this has opened in my home time! heaven knows its been needed for a long time. Love this place!

Went here with our vegetarian baby who has never had the luxury of a whole children's menu to choose from before! Staff were so accommodating and went out to buy him a cup as they only had glasses to drink from! Food was amazing, really lovely.

Was visiting Bury to do some shopping and whilst there needed somewhere to eat. I am a meat eater, wife is a vegan and I googled just in case there might be somewhere suitable.....Imagine my surprise when 'Veggie Rae' popped up.

Simple but elegant decor, friendly service and very nice food. Wife had spicy parsnip soup with a BLT (vegan version) and some sweet potato fries whilst I had the vegan hotdog with chips. We shared a piece of Cherry and Almond cake for pud. All the food was yummy and good value too.

We will definitely be visiting again.

Visited today with my husband (both vegetarian). We were both really impressed by the amount of choice, and the delicious food we had. The staff are pleasant and we left feeling like we'd enjoyed a fantastic meal, which was brilliant value. We'll definitely be visiting again!!!

Really nice. Food was very tasty and very filling. Lovely clean place and the service was great.. Definitely worth a visit. I went again the day after my first visit and had the special. Veggie lasagna mmmmmm.

My partner is vegetarian and I'm a meat eater but we absolutely loved this place, who ever slates it needs to rethink and maybe leave this small place alone, there isn't enough vegetarian places about and if you don't like it don't eat here!!!!.

Veggie-Rea is a small but very quaint cafe situated upstairs a simple well put together choice on the food and drink menu.

Helpful friendly staff great fast service very clean well put together decor at a very competitive price and we had free chocolate cake to take out.

There was even options of dairy when we ordered our food and drink so they do cater for the likes of me who is not �% vegetarian.



My only criticism is a hand rail would not go amiss for going upstairs as I struggled this could put those people unable to climb stairs that is my only suggestion.

We will be back.

I went there for lunch today and got the deal which was only 5.99 for a toastie, soup and a hot drink! The food was fantastic, everything was freshly made and very satisfying. I was very excited to try this as there are not many other vegan options you can get in bury and it didn't disappoint, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a clean healthy meal in Bury. I also got the salted caramel cake and lemon cake which were both absolutely delicious. Thanks Rae.

I visited Veggie Rae yesterday with my vegan husband and non vegetarian in laws and youngest son. Everyone loved the food, I had hot dog, my husband and son had black bean burger, dad in law had a toastie and mum in law had a bagel. Oh and our teenie dog was treated to vegan bacon by the staff, she is currently finishing it for breakfast. Everyone enjoyed the food, there was plenty of it and we will definitely be back. Very highly recommended.

I visit my dad whom lives in Bury every once and a while, so I usually get food from Holland and Barrett for lunch. I was really happy when I found out that this place had opened up and I was even more happier at the menu, especially since a lot of the vegetarian dishes can be made vegan and they're all homemade! The lasagna I had was delicious even though the portion was too big for me to finish (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), and I was also thrilled that they were serving freshly made vegan cakes, but the carrot cake I was eyeing up was taken by another couple! :p

I'll most likely visit again every time I come to Bury, and I'll try and get a slice of cake! It's nice to have a vegan/veggie cafe so close as the second closest one I can get to is V-Rev which is a tram ride away!

My only complaint (which isn't really a complaint) is that the lady couldn't find the wifi password for me, but I understand that the cafe was very busy and it didn't diminish my experience here :)

Excellent vegan food, all home-cooked on premises. There is a huge choice, and also a daily specials board. I had vegan lasagne with sweet potato fries, salad and vegan mayo, followed by a large slice of chocolate cake. Portions are generous and prices are very reasonable. You can choose soya or almond milk for your tea / coffee - there's also a wide range of herbal teas and coffee. Service is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing and it's nice to be amongst other vegan customers and not have to worry about what's in your food! I will definitely be visiting again!

Delicious non bacon and celery soup. All homemade. Great service too. Definitely recommend

Came across this little restaurant today. Very impressed with the vegan kebab with home-made vegan mayo and hot sauce - all very tasty! Great service, good value and it's great to see more vegan friendly places about.

Been meaning to call in here for a while and today me and hubby got the chance and what a lovely surprise it was. Fabulously tasty food in a relaxing environment and a great choice of veggie/vegan food. With super friendly service with a smile. For all of us veggie/vegans out there and indeed anyone else who appreciates good wholesome food, this is just what Bury needed. We will definitely be revisiting :)))) Thank you x

Been coming to eat at Veggie Rae for a year now. Every time i visit the food gets better. If you are Vegan, Vegetarian or even an open minded meat eater, this is hands down the BEST place to eat in Bury or anywhere. The place is very beautifully decorated and is spotless, all of the staff are so friendly and polite and i am always made to feel welcome. Everything is home made and there is alot of choice. Today, i had the Kebab Sandwich with home made chips followed by a slice of Chocolate Orange Cake. Absolutely Fandabidozi. Everybody here are animal lovers and have always welcomed me bringing my dog with me.

I love it here and while there is a hole in my face i will definitely keep coming back.



If i had to make a complaint???? It would be that i only have one stomach!!!!

5 stars is not enough. I have never been to such a friendly and welcoming cafe. The food is superb, plentiful and varied, the cakes are beyond amazing, and Rae always goes the extra mile, be that offering samples of her "not chicken" or finding sprinkles to appease a sulking toddler who won't accept a cake without! Please visit and support this fantastic business!
