We had the pleasure of seeing these 7 bundles of joy at our Leigh surgery this week. They are 8-week old Cocker Spaniel puppies who we first saw at 4 days old, they came in again for a health check at two weeks. The pictures show how much they have grown! They came in for a final health check this week, and to be microchipped before heading off to their new homes. We wish them well for the future with their new families! 😍🐶

Little Ella has just been in touch. She says she has received the reminder letter for her Annual Health Examination and Booster Vaccination (to stop her from catching nasty parvovirus etc) and is going to ask her Mummy to make her an appointment. Thank you Ella, you are very wise and cute.

Good News - she has been found and safely returned home - 3rd Aug 2018
Has anyone seen this cat that has gone missing from the Woodcock Drive area in Platt Bridge. She went missing yesterday. She is black but has white on her paws, stomach and on her chest. She isn't wearing a collar, but is micro-chipped. Her owner, Beth, is very worried. Contact us at the Leigh or Hindley Surgeries, or email enquiries@vetcareltd.co.uk if you know of her whereabouts.

Staff old and new, those on leave, those working and many clients have been in today to wish Sarah Osnovianenko good luck with her new relocation and new position. If she wasn't aware of how much she is loved, then she is now :-)

Oh no! Today we are saying goodbye to our much loved Client Care Manager, Sarah Osnovianenko. Sarah is well known to all of you at Leigh. For 15 years she been central to greeting you on reception and knows so many of you and your pets by name. No problem has ever been too big for Sarah and she has supported so many people through happy times and sad episodes. We are all really sad to be seeing her go, but know that we will keep in touch. She is moving to another part of the country with the love of her life and her three gorgeous children who we also know well. Sarah has already found work with a new Practice (their gain)! Sarah - we wish you joy, happiness and a very bright future as you set out on the next part of your journey xxxx

Here is little Archie recovering from his castration at the Leigh Surgery earlier today. He is now at home undoubtedly receiving lots of TLC from his Mum! His procedure went smoothly, and we will see him again on Friday for a post-operative check. Hopefully he will have forgiven us by then!

Welcome to Louise Mitchell, our new Practice Cleaner. She is fast proving herself a valuable member of our Practice Team and we hope you look forward to seeing her around the Practice. The importance of her work can't be overstated. Apart from appearance, excellent hygiene is of utmost importance in a clinical environment, and Louise's assistance with that is essential. She is already forming great relationships with the staff and becoming 'part of the furniture'. We wish you a great time with us at Vetcare.

This month we say goodbye to Marian Aldred, who has been our cleaner at Leigh since 1994. She has had a motherly relationship with all at the Leigh Surgery for two and a half decades and witnessed many changes in the Practice (including it's ownership and her employers), and watched many comings and goings. We will greatly miss having her around, she has been a friend to us all, especially those who have worked with her during all of that time. Deciding to retire has been a really difficult and heart wrenching choice. Marian has taken the decision to gracefully retire from work, but we hope to see her often. Love to you Marian, from all of us.....

Great News! Ivan returned home in the early hours of this morning. His owner says he was very hungry and has lost a few pounds but is safe now. Thank you to all that liked and shared the post. 😻

What an amazing practice and absolutely fantastic staff. We sadly lost our dog rafa on 21st Dec this year due to illness and the staff there were absolutely brilliant with him and us. We got our boys ashes back from them today and can't thank them enough for all their amazing client service over the years xxx

Vetcare have provided amazing care to our beautiful boxer Dave for the last 12 years. He had many visits and was always given first class care. He loved the gravy bones and always got his share. He was known and loved by all the staff at Leigh and he loved them too. Dave sadly passed away 2 weeks ago and Vetcare treated him and us with dignity and respect. They have an amazing team and we would never go anywhere else.

Thank you for everything you have done.

Vet Chad and Alisa are brilliant, they always manage to reassure me and my dog! We spayed her yesterday and everyone at the Leigh practice has been fantastic, from the nurses to receptionists! Alisa has cared for my dog like it was hers, I can't praise them enough!

My very nervous lab had to have anaesthetic for diagnostic tests.the staff especially Chad were nothing short of awesome.everything completed with the least amount of stress to my fur baby and myself. So very much appreciated

I've taken my pets to Vetcare Bolton for more than 10 years and quite frequently the latter end of 2016 with my staffy Brandy who sadly died before Christmas. We moved to Atherton almost 3 years ago but still continued to go to Bolton. We've just got a new addition to our family and there was no question in my mind that we would take him anywhere else. Rosanne, Sarah and Neil are amazing and we have complete faith and trust in them all that they will always do the best for our pets and us

I'm a bit of a vet tourist with 8 cats, they are registered with different vets. Chloe is a challenging case and not one many would entertain. However Chad and team have been excellent with her. Patient and they give her time to adjust even with her volatile nature not helped by her condition. Couldnt recommend them enough ! Better than the other two I use

I took my ferret Trixie to get spayed and was a little worried about her the vets explained everything before hand and called me to explain what to do before she goes the staff where very polite and friendly and afterwards explained what I needed to do to take care of her until she heals they also booked me in for a check up appointment 2 days after and the cost was very reasonable, in the future I will definitely be coming here again as I'm sure my pets will be cared for in there hands �

I live a 30 minute drive from Vetcare in Leigh - but wouldn't go anywhere else. Chad and the entire team are excellent and my two dogs get the best possible care, honest opinions and great advice. They actually like their trips to the vets! Superb team who have been so helpful and responsive when my dogs have been into mischief and eaten things they shouldn't! I would recommend the Vetcare practise to anyone with pets.

I have used Vetcare Bolton from the start, Mr Greer, Greer Holt & James, James Maddrell & Buxton, Maddrell Buxton and Taylor to Vetcare. Neil Taylor and his wonderful team have looked after all my animals. Their prices are very reasonable, the care excellent and they always do their best for your animals, going above and beyond on numerous occasions. Even ringing on their days off just to see how their patients are doing. I am now part of Poodle Network UK and as per usual the Bolton staff go above and beyond, fitting me in a few weeks ago at half an hours notice with Mum, Dad and 3 x 17 week old puppies in a terrible state. I deal with numerous vets all round the country now as we are a nationwide charity but our challenging cases often end up here so they can be treated by Neil, Gordon, Sarah, Julie, Roseanne and everyone else at Bolton. We know the Poodles will get the best treatment possible here and also that everything which is done is necessary for the health of the dogs. I cannot thank Vetcare enough for what they do for us with my own 8 poodles including one who is epileptic and one with Addisons Disease and for all they do for our rescues. I recommend Vetcare to anyone who asks and it shows when our foster carers have also changed to Vetcare with their own dogs because of the care their foster dogs have been given.

For the 2nd time, the wonderful team at Vetcare Bolton have saved the life of my lion lop rabbit Pippa. Neil and Joe did an amazing job along with the fantastic team of nurses (and Roseanne). Rabbit savvy vets are hard to come by and these are the best! Thank you all! Michele and Pippa x

Been going to vet care for about 13 years now, when my dog went blind the owner chad was the only person that found out what it was, archie my blind king charles still sees chad on a regular basis and he is amazing at his work. Ive got to say all the staff at vetcare are also amazing as they never fail to give a great service.
