Wow i spent 4 hours in the trafford centre Friday trying to find some extra special dresses size 16 to 18 no luck. Then by chance I stumbled upon this shop at 5.30 on Saturday. Amazing I bought 3 dresses some fab shoes and a petticoat the owners Rachel and her husband were so accommodating. I got a pair of free sunglasses and some prosecco also. Can't thank them enough. The dresses were so lovely. I'll send some pic when I get back to surrey. Xx

What a wonderful place this is , I went with my friend on Rachel's birthday and the atmosphere was amazing . Cakes , drinks and live music . Spent a wonderful few hours there , everyone was so lovely . I bought the cutest shoes and jewellery . Will definitely go back and visit again �

We attended the opening on Saturday at Afflecks Palace- what a lovely shop and welcome. The dresses are beautifully made with such vibrant and unusual fabrics, so nice to see something so different and classy. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely ladies serving. Bought my daughter two dresses for a treat as she couldn't decide which one she liked most. It won't be our last visit and I am already looking at your web page to order a further dress for myself. Visited the shop whilst visiting the city with my daughter and what a lovely little find. Very quirky and style we like to shop and wear. My daughter bought a beautiful tartan dress it’s perfect for a wedding we are going to later in the summer. Definitely will be returning when we visit next time �

This shop is singularly unique for providing not only a really gorgeous range but having incredibly helpful staff, who are not only knowedgable and enthusiastic but unfailingly friendly. The store has a lovely vibe, perfectly set out and I love that they sell petticoats that can be easily matched with their gorgeous wares - and all at such great prices too. Can't wait to shop here again <3

Superb shop with beautiful well made outfits and bespoke accessories. All what you need for your vintage fashion choices. The shop is adorable with an amazing inclusive environment. Just been there this afternoon for the Final of Miss/Mrs Violet Loves Vintage (which was truly inspiring) with both of my young children who both have individual requirements. All the staff and specially Rachel & Ian were immensely attentive and kind to us 3 as well as understanding in relation to my children's idiosyncratic behaviour (including mine �). I am so looking forward to going there again!! �� Thank you xx �

It was an absolute pleasure to walk in to a boutique of this nature and not be hounded by staff. My daughter was allowed time to admire the various items that caught her attention and after trying her choices on, the smile on her face made it clear we would not be leaving empty handed. The dresses are beautiful and the service is very friendly and open. Well done! We will be returning regularly despite the distance we have to travel.

If you want that extra special dress or dresses then this is the place to go. Very warm welcome, lovely atmosphere and gorgeous dresses and accessories. Today, my two daughters aged 26 and 11 tried the same style dresses on together, popping in and out of the changing room with beaming faces. I got myself a wedding outfit too. I was on the hunt for bridesmaid dresses and had dragged my three bridesmaids around, trying every grotesque dress on before I could suggest my 'real' plan. We arrived at Violet Loves Vintage, to a look of disgust from at least two of my 'maids...5 minutes later and they had fallen in love with the style/dresses/colours. I can't thank you enough for making my shopping 'ordeal' as easy as you did. Nothing was too much trouble. It was such a lovely experience xx

I happend to pass this shop when I was on Holliday to Manchester (from Edinburgh) saw this shop when I was there but didn't have time to stay long. I got home and just had to look at the website and ordered a dress that I just love! It arrived quickly and very nicely wrapped. This is definitely a very personalised service which just makes me love it more!

Bought a lovely vintage dress today. It was my first time in the shop and I was very happy with my purchase and the service!



I walked in and was greeted polity and the lady was very good in not making me feel pressurised to buy anything and gave me time to have a good look and responded well when I asked questions about sizes when I needed that extra assistance.



I definitely buy my clothes often from here now.

Oh and I also loved how the lady took great care wrapping my dress up in tissue paper and putting a bow on my bag. I think a lot of shops could learn a lot from this lady! I will post a picture when I wear my dress! �

Bought a beautiful dress a while back from this adorable shop. It was wrapped up in purple tissue paper (my favourite colour) with a ribbon on the bag and had a cute little note inside. The personal touch of the thank you note and lovely service whilst choosing an item was something other companies should take note of, will definitely be buying from here again!

Amazing personal service...I ordered a dress in a size 14, and most companies would just send it but the beauty of a smaller company like Lucy Loves Violet is the attention to detail. I received a lovely email advising me that the dress was quite a small fit and it may be best to go up a size so I had a size 16 sent and it fitted perfectly. Had this been a big company this would not have happened. The personal touch was much appreciated. It was like having a personal shopper on line. I will definitely be ordering more from this company and visiting the shop when it opens in Sale. Highly recommend by me (but not my bank balance �).
